Impossible To Please Him?

Hebrews 11:6 tells us clearly that it is

impossible to please our Heavenly Father

without a certain attribute….

This means that to please Him we need that certain attribute,

that gift…

we need faith.

This faith is both a gift from our Heavenly Father and a response to His revelation, as seen in Ephesians 2:8-9, which emphasizes that faith is a gift of grace. The faith that overcomes the world is active and living…

Most likely the most preached on topic and through the years many facets have been explored by many believers…Below are just a few

thoughts on faith to ponder and linger on….

Faith and obedience are connected and so are faith and grace.

The level of our growth in grace /chen, is revealed by the way we look at obedience.

Hebrews 5:8; John 10:30. I and the Father are one.

Hebrews 11:6… without it, it’s impossible to please God.

By pleasing the Father we are also pleasing Messiah.

It is finished, He has done all He was and is going to do to provide us with everything we need.

We have been given ‘the measure of faith’ but how big is that measure?

Matthew 17:20 Mustard seed faith means nothing will be impossible for us.

Our Heavenly Father does not reward us for our faith.

We do not earn anything through faith.

Faith brings us into the right relationship with

our Heavenly Father and Messiah.

It gives Him His opportunity to work.

Faith worketh by love, Gal.5:6,

and the trying or testing of it works patience. James 1:3.

Faith is active opposition to commonsense which is mistaken enthusiasm and narrow-mindedness.

Common sense in opposition to faith demonstrates a mistaken reliance on reason as the basis for truth.

The life of faith brings the two above into proper relationship.

A life of faith is just that, a life of faith, it’s not a life of emotional enjoyment of His blessing.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things unseen, those things which are not yet manifested to the natural physical eye.

In the Genesis of our faith, life it was narrow and intense and centered around a small amount of experience that had as much emotion as faith in it. And it was full of light and sweetness, like a honeymoon in a marriage, then life gets real and we face real challenges. ‘The rubber hits the road’, our Heavenly Father withdraws His conscious blessings to teach us to walk by faith. He teaches us to stop looking to people for channels of blessing and to meet all our needs and solve all our problems but to look to Him alone and allow Him to choose the who and how avenues of provision.

We are now worth much more to the Lord than in the days of our initial exuberance with our thrilling testimony.

Faith by its very nature must be tested and tried by trials, situations and circumstances which reveal who and what we depend on and look to for help and answers. The real trial of faith is that our Heavenly Father’s character must be proven as trustworthy in our own minds, it is not simply that we find it difficult to trust Him.

Faith being worked out into reality must experience times of unbroken isolation.

Never confuse the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life; because a great deal of what we call the trial of faith is the inevitable result of being alive.

Faith as the Bible teaches it, is faith in our Heavenly Father coming against everything that contradicts Him. It’s a faith that says I will remain true to His character whatever He may do.

The highest and greatest expression of faith in the whole word of God from Genesis to Revelation is Job 13:15:

though he slay me yet will I trust him….

and next is in Daniel when the three Hebrews were in the fiery furnace... our God will deliver us and if not we will still not bow...

Common sense and faith are as different from each other as the natural life is from the spiritual and as impulsiveness is from inspiration.

Faith is a force of the Spirit of YHVH and nothing connected to His kingdom works or operates without it.

That’s why the measure of faith is given to all.

Nothing Yeshua/Jesus said is commonsense….

it is revelation sense and is complete,

whereas common sense falls short; yet faith must be tested and tried before it becomes real in your life.

Romans 8 :28 says ..

all things must work together with condition, so that no matter what happens, the transforming power of His providence transforms perfect faith into reality. Faith always works in a personal way because the Fathers purpose is to see that perfect faith is made real His children.

For every detail of common sense in life, theres a truth our Father has revealed by which we can prove in our practical experience what we believe Him to be.

Faith is a tremendously active principle that always puts Messiah first. The life of faith says: Lord you said it, it looks totally irrational, but I’m going to step out boldly trusting in your word. Matthew 6:33

Turning intellectual faith into our personal possession is always a fight and not just sometimes. We are to fight the good fight of faith because it is a good fight.

He will bring us into particular circumstances to educate  and strengthen our faith because the nature of our faith is to make the object of our faith very real to us. Until we know Messiah, God is merely a concept and we can’t have faith in Him, but once we hear the words: He who has seen me has seen the Father John 14:9; we immediately know and have something that’s real and our faith is as limitless as Yahweh Himself.

Faith is the entire person in the right relationship with our Heavenly Father through the power of the Spirit of Yeshua Messiah.

It is not impossible to please Him if we have faith in Him, that He is able to do super abundantly above all that we can ask or even imagine; and that we live by that faith and walk in that faith.…our faith is the victory, that overcomes the world. 1 John 5:4 refers to putting our trust in the saving work of Messiah Yeshua/Jesus.
