Gateways To Life

As this year the Hebrew and Gregorian calendars are not in sync., we are between the two calendar dates for Passover/Unleavened Bread and First Fruits.

This gap in the dates, gives us an opportunity to focus on the single most miraculous event in time and eternity.

It is an event that we should remember all year, not just as the seasons make their turn.

Gethsemane and Calvary are in truth

the Gateways to Life /Chaim

and why Messiah said

I am the Way the Truth and the Life.

Derek, Emet and Chaim.

It is impossible for us who are bound in human flesh, to understand Messiahs agony, however, we don’t have to misunderstand it.

Matthew 26:36 – 38

It was the agony of God and man in the person Yeshua/Jesus as He came to face to face with sin; and on the cross He experienced total separation from His Father because as He became sin – as the sin offering – the Holiness of God could not look upon that sin.

It is not possible for us to experience Gethsemane and Calvary. We cannot learn about them through personal experience because they represent something totally unique.

They are the gateway,

the door, the dalet

into life for us.

It was not death on the cross that He was facing, that caused Yeshua/Jesus to agonize over when He was in Gethsemane; because He stated that His purpose was to die. He knew that was why He came.

It was not a shock to Him, He was completely aware of His Heavenly Fathers’ plan and the process He was to complete. Most likely His concern was that He might not get through this struggle as a Son of Man. He was confident at getting through it as the Son of God because Satan couldn’t not touch him there; the previous temptations had proved that. The pressure was the adversary’s assault against Him, with the focus that our Lord would come through for us on His own; solely as the Son of Man.

If Messiah had done that He could not have been our Savior. Hebrews 9:11–15

And we should read the account of Gethsemane and His agony in the light of His earlier temptations in the wilderness. The devil departed from Him until an opportune time. Luke 4:13. In Gethsemane was an opportune time, but satans attack was overthrown once again. The adversarys’ final assault against our Savior was in the garden of Gethsemane as the Son of Man.

The agony in Gethsemane was the agony of the Son of God in fulfilling His destiny as the Savior of the world. The veil is pulled back here, to reveal all that it cost Him to make it possible for us to become Sons and Daughters of God; HIs children, His Family. We should also remember that the Jews have a priority over the Gentiles, in that the Messiah Himself, Jesus Christ/Yeshua Hamashiach, came first as a Jew to the Jews. We are told in Romans 9:5, of whom are the fathers, and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

and reminded again in Romans 1:16-17 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek/heathen/gentiles.

HIs agony was the basis for the simplicity of our salvation.

The cross of Yeshua/Jesus was a triumph for the Son of man, and not only a sign that our Lord triumphed; but that He had triumphed to save the human race.

Because of what the Son of Man went through, every human being has been provided with a way of access into the very presence of God.

Our gateway to God, our Heavenly Father.

1 Peter 2:24.

It cost him everything.

The cross of Calvary is the revealed truth of God’s judgment on sin. It was not a martyrs death, it was the ultimate triumph and shook the very foundations of hell.

There is nothing in time or eternity more absolutely certain and undeniable, than what He accomplished on the cross. It changed everything for ever.

He made it possible for the entire human race to be brought back into a right standing relationship with the Father. He made redemption the foundation of human life, that is, He made a way for every person to have fellowship, communion and an intimate relationship with the creator of the universe.

That cross was not something that happened

TO Jesus/Yeshua, He came to die.

The cross was His purpose in coming.

The great divide was restored by a great collide.

He is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8.

The incarnation of Yeshua Messiah would have no meaning without the cross.

We must be sure not to separate

God was manifested in the flesh

from

He made Him to be sin for us.

1Timothy 3:16; 2Corinthians 5:21.

The purpose of the incarnation was redemption.

The Most High God came in the flesh to take sin away, not to accomplish something for Himself.

Not only is the cross the central event

in time and eternity…

it is the answer to all the problems in both.

The cross is not a cross of a man, but the cross of the only creator God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords; and it can never be fully understood through the human experience.

The cross is our Heavenly Father God, Adonai Elohim Melech haOlam, displaying His nature. It’s the Gate through which any and every individual can enter into oneness with Him. However it is not a gate we pass right through, it’s the one where we enter His presence and where we abide – in the life/chaim that exists and is found there.

The heart of salvation is Messiahs cross and the reason it’s so easy for us to obtain, is that it cost the Father so much!

It was the place where a Holy God and sinful man merged with a tremendous collision.

It is why the Way to life was opened, and we must remember, all the cost and pain of that collision was absorbed by the heart of our loving Father God.

The great division was restored by a great collision…. and the result was NOT

chaos, devastation and total destruction

but peace, healing and total restoration.

Colossians 1:20 and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.

Let our prayer this week be for the eyes of our understanding to be enlightened, that we may know Him and power of His cross and resurrection…

Phil 3: 10-17 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;

Ephesians 1:18-23 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Shalom aleikhem

chaverim and mishpachah!

Peace to friends and family.

Shavua Tov, Have a blessed week.

Make certain Messiah Jesus/Yeshua is your Redeemer, Savior, Lord and soon returning King and that you have a personal relationship with Him.

It’s all about Life and Relationship, NOT Religion.

You are very precious in His sight.

Not sure ..you can be…

SIMPLY SAY THE FOLLOWING MEANING IT FROM YOUR HEART..don’t delay one more minute,

SAY IT RIGHT NOW…

Heavenly Father I come to you in the Name of Jesus/Yeshua asking for forgiveness of my sins for which I am truly sorry. I repent of them all and turn away from my past.

I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus/Yeshua is your Son and that He died on the cross at calvary to pay the price for my sin, so that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven. Father I believe that Jesus/Yeshua rose from the dead and I ask you to come into my life right now and be my personal Savior and Lord and I will worship you all the days of my life. Because your word is truth I say that I am now forgiven and born again and by faith I am washed clean with the blood of Jesus/Yeshua. Thank you that you have accepted me into your family in Jesus’/Yeshua’s name.

You Are Greatly Loved and You Are Not Alone!

At certain times of the year it is easier to feel more isolated and alone especially at seasons when tradition has family members come together.

Many are restricted for various reasons; health, economic, location, all factor in, and changes in personal circumstances make staying where you are the only option.

MMM invites all visitors, subscribers, family and friends to join together in prayer for those who are hurting, sad, grieving, without a home, without a job. There is without doubt not a single one of us that has not experienced at least one, if not all, of the above.

Always remember that you are NOT EVER alone

for Jesus/Yeshua Himself said

I will never leave you nor forsake you even to the end of the age.

It may not always feel that way but it is His Truth.

He said I will not leave you comfortless I will come to you.

He comes in the presence of His Holy Spirit, His Ruach,

to breathe His

Light

Love

Life

Hope and Comfort

into your life and situation.

Know that your brethren around the world are experiencing similar events.

Trust Him, put all your faith and hope in Him –

it will not be misplaced.

You are all prayed for daily and

love and encouragement

are sent on the wings of His lovingkindness

and tender mercies

to surround, guard and keep you.

Roll your burden onto the Lord and believe Him to lead you every step of the WAY – because He has already been in your tomorrow and knows you and He can handle it.

You are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might,

do not fear nor be dismayed

He loves you with an everlasting love

and this physical life with its tests, trials and hardships

is soon to pass;

and we will rejoice with exceeding great joy

at the vision before us… of joy unspeakable and full of glory,

when we shall behold Him

face to face.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen

Jude 24 & 25

This scripture reads that we are presented before the presence of His glory and the exceeding joy is His !!!! He is so delighted that we are there…that we made it home .. Wow !

December 25th on the Gregorian Calendar is just a date.

Messiah abides with us and in us every day.

The kingdom of the heavens is within us.

We can rejoice at His 1st coming every day

because of that:

we are His,

forgiven,

redeemed by His precious blood;

and patiently waiting

with oil lamps filled

and wicks trimmed

for our bridegroom to return for us….

Soon and very soon there is going to be a wedding and we are going to see the King!

As you read the following list of countries which span the globe and cover every time line;

know that in every one listed are our spiritual family members reading the same list and by His Holy Spirit we are connected even though we cannot see one another we are united in Him….

Be comforted and encouraged as we pray for one another  –

soon, time will be no more….

and behold He will make all things new.

Then, the tears and fears of all the years will be dissolved in His presence forever…..

You are greatly loved more than you can imagine….

What’s In Your Naos?

Naos is Greek for temple

but properly

means

SANCTUARY

Often translated temple however,

Sanctuary

is a more correct word.

Another word for

temple/sanctuary

in Hebrew is

HEYKAL

Palace/dwelling of the king

Spelled:

Hey Yod Kaf Lamed

The meaning of the Hebrew paleo pictographs tell us something:

Hey – Man with raised arms = Behold or, pay attention to what follows.

Yud – Arm and hand closed = a work or, a mighty deed.

Kaph – palm of hand = to cover, to allow, to open, to atone.

Lamed – shepherd staff = to shepherd, control, to have authority or the voice of authority.

The picture it gives could be:

Behold pay close attention

the temple is a place where

the mighty works of the one in authority

will be revealed.

This work or mighty deed is of course:

the atoning sacrifice of Yeshua/Jesus.

Each letter also has a number value:

Hey – 5 = Grace

Yud – 10 = something ordained in heaven

Kaf – 20 = Redemption

Lamed – 30 = points to a blood sacrifice.

It could be interpreted as the following:

The great work (Kaf)

we will behold (Hey)

is the blood sacrifice of Yeshua (Lamed)

which was

ordained by the Father in Heaven (Yud)

And:

This (Yud/10) work was carried out

under the Authority of His Father(Lamed/30)

and by His Grace (Hey/5)

will result in Redemption (Kaf/20)

The HEYKAL

is where God and His people

developed their relationship

and was prophetic…

the mystery which Paul revealed in

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV) 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

There is no need of a rebuilt Temple/Hekel/Sanctuary for those who have His Ruach dwelling within… however all scripture must be fulfilled and the rebuilding of a 3rd Temple is in accordance with Gods’ plans to be carried out prior to Messiahs return.

Namely the situation described by Paul in

2 Thess. 2:3,4

This structure will not be for the benefit of our Heavenly Father or for Yeshua/Jesus return, but it is to fulfill prophecy as concerns the false Messiah and we are reminded by Paul that:

His Sanctuary is now is IN us.

The Sanctuary is the portion of the temple (and previously the wilderness tabernacle/mishkan); that was

set apart – Holy to the Lord.

Not the Holy Place but the Holy of Holies.

John 2:18 and 19 – 21. Jesus/Yeshua answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

In Greek, Temple is ‘ieron.

The Letter h is the accent mark and is called

the hard breather.

Hieron

So what’s in a word? … does it matter?

Yes, because…

We are not to be like the Tabernacle/Mishkan building or the Temples of stone, where there was an outer court where sin was acceptable.

1Corinthians 3:16, 17; 16:19

Our bodies are now the sanctuariesNaosthe set apart place – His holy of holies….

This Naos/ Sanctuary is for His Holy Spirit to dwell/ abide.

Ruach HaKodesh.

The Holy Spirit of a Holy God cannot dwell where there is sin…

1 Corinthians 3:16 King James Version (KJV) 16 Know ye not that ye are the Naos of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

2 Cor. 3:18

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The more that we commune with Yeshua/Jesus and come into His presence,

more of the veil that divides will fall off

and we will be able to see more clearly.

Then more of His glory will abide within us, and then be reflected through us.

His glory will be seen upon us.

Glory

In Greek – doxa:  honor, glory

Original Word: δόξα, ης, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: doxa
Phonetic Spelling: (dox’-ah)
Definition: opinion (always good in NT), praise, honor, glory
Usage: honor, renown; glory, an especially divine quality, the unspoken manifestation of God, splendor.

Glory in Hebrew:

ū·ḵə·ḇō·wḏ

וּכְב֣וֹד

kabowd

Faith has its’ seat in the heart.

The kind of faith which believes in the God who created the Universe and Who also created us and a belief that He loves us enough to give His life for us.

John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:3.

It is engraved there. It is not written in ink, or engraved on stone, but it is written on the heart by the Spirit of God.

With the heart man believes with the mouth we confess

Therefore any professed belief that does not reach the heart, and has its home there, is most likely to be false and delusive being more head knowledge of the intellect and mind.

The Hebrew word for sanctuary is

mikdash (מקְדָּשׁ),

which comes from the root word

kadash (קָדַשׁ),

to be set apart as sacred.

A mikdash is therefore a

set apart space, or a holy place

that represents something treasured – a place of beauty and worship, a refuge, a place of rest.

Hebrew Translation. מִקְלָט.

More Hebrew words for sanctuary.

noun מִקְלָט. shelter, refuge, asylum, haven.

noun מִקדָשׁ. temple, shrine

miqdash

מִקְדָּשׁ

miqdash or miqqedash: a sacred place, sanctuary

Strong’s Hebrew: 4720. מִקְדָּשׁ

(miqdash or miqqedash) — a

chapel, hallowed part, holy place, sanctuary .

Or miqqdash (Exod. 15:17) {mik-ked-awsh’};

from qadash; a consecrated thing or place, especially, a palace, sanctuary (whether of Jehovah or of idols) or asylum — chapel, hallowed part, holy place, sanctuary.

מִשְׁכָּן

mishkan: dwelling place, tabernacle

Strong’s Hebrew: 4908

Original Word: מִשְׁכָּן
Transliteration: mishkan
Phonetic Spelling: (mish-kawn’)
Definition: dwelling place, tabernacle

In the Old Testament the word

miqdas [ v’D.qim] from qds, holy,

implying a distinction between space that is sacred versus profane; commonly refers to the worship sanctuary (e.g., Exod 25:8), where the Israelites offered their various kinds of offerings and sacrifices to the Lord under the supervision of the priesthood.

[The] Sanctuary

is a term in the Hebrew Bible which refers to the

inner sanctuary of the Tabernacle

where God’s presence appeared.

According to Hebrew Tradition, the area was defined by:

four pillars which held up

the veil of the covering,

under which the Ark of the Covenant was held above the floor.

Tabernacle, Hebrew Mishkan, dwelling, in Jewish history, the portable sanctuary constructed by Moses as a place of worship for the Hebrew tribes during the period of wandering that preceded their arrival in the Promised Land.

Moreover, the English translation becomes even more confusing when interpreters translate two entirely different Hebrew words

(אהל and משׁכן, ohel and mishkan, H168 and H4908),

by using the exact same English tabernacle word.

In the case of Exodus 26:7, this translation is especially hard to understand, as the two different Hebrew words are used so close in the same sentence.

Another word for

tabernacle or tent is:

OHEL

the Hebrew letters:

alef – hey – lamed

In the middle of a word h or hey

or man with raised arms means:

to reveal the heart or the core of.

Placed in the middle of the word for God it becomes the word

o-hel or

lamed hey alef (reading right to left)

this word for a tent or the tabernacle is presented as:

the heart of God revealed.

This shows that both your home and where you worship, reveals your god.

Lord who shall abide in thy tabernacle?

Who shall dwell in your holy hill?

Psalm 15:1

OHEL

The heart of God revealed.

God is EL = the letters alef and lamed

and H = hey behold revealed.

The tabernacle was the place of God’s revelation.

Our tent or home where we live is where our God is revealed.

Strongs#168

Again, when the letter H/hey is

in the middle of a word

it reveals all, especially the heart.

The god that we follow is revealed in the tent/home and in the tabernacle, the place of worship.

It is relevant not only for the home/physical structure or building we live in; but also the home within ourselves that we create for His Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit to live/abide/dwell.

Our physical bodies become the home of spiritual power; the seat of spiritual influence and it can be the opposite of holy as Jesus/Yeshua warned in

Matthew 12:43-45

“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.

Impure/unclean spirits call peoples bodies their house!

What’s In our Naos/Sanctuary/tabernacle /house/home?

What’s in our OHEL?

Let the Lords words in John 14:23 be our desire and goal as Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

The Tabernacle no longer served a purpose after the building of Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem in 950 B.C.

His Holy Spirit cannot be where there is sin, so any where there is sin there is no presence of His Spirit/Ruach

This is recorded in

1 Samuel 4:21,22

Ichabod the glory has departed for the ark (dwelling place) of God has been taken

Ichabod definition is — used to express regret for departed glory.

Ichabod was born after his father’s death. His mother gave him this name on her death-bed to indicate that the “glory (had) departed from Israel” (1 Samuel 4:19)

and it was what Samson realized when he tried to do as he had always done and in Judges 16:20
Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.

Sin is manifested rebellion against God’s commands and will for our life. It can be in many and take various forms in our lives.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. 1Samuel 15:23

Consider this for a moment that: In other words, God deems rebellion to be the same or equal to witchcraft and stubbornness is just as good as kneeling or falling down before and worshipping a statue of another religions god or any other idol for that matter.

Another translation says:

For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry.

Rebellion definition is – opposition to one in authority or dominance.

Rebellion, uprising, or insurrection is a refusal of obedience or order. It refers to the open resistance against the orders of an established authority.

A rebellion originates from a sentiment of indignation and disapproval of a situation and then manifests itself by the refusal to submit or to obey the authority responsible for this situation.

Sin must be dealt with because we cannot approach a Holy God with any sin in us.

Jesus/Yeshua said He was the temple/ sanctuary when He referred to Himself and that when His body would be destroyed He would rebuild it in three days. Speaking of His future resurrection and glorified body.

He had the Ruach/Spirit without measure because

He was without sin and

His Fathers Spirit could dwell within Him to the fullness.

Mishkan is spelled

Mem, Sheen, Kaf and Noon.

מִשְׁכָּן

noon kaf sheen mem

(Read right to left)

Mishkan is the Hebrew word we translate into English as Tabernacle.

The Mishkan was a Pattern, showing the children of Israel

the process to approach the Holy presence of Adonai/YHVH.

Sin has to be dealt with before that can take place because, God and sin cannot coexist.

The life is in the blood and sin requires a price to be paid and wages of sin is death.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

So a sacrifice must be made and blood has to be spilled

Life has to be forfeit to cover the sin. And that life must be innocent without sin and without blemish clean and acceptable to the Lord.

Jesus/Yeshua became that innocent, clean, without blemish life.

He willingly gave His life, allowing His blood to be spilled.

His life was forfeit to cover our sins once and for all time.

The Pattern of the Mishkan and later both temples,

show God’s redemptive plan

in the structure of the building

and in all the furniture within.

Also in the priests clothing

and in the format of each of the ways

every action was carried out.

Jesus /Yeshua was literally the fulfillment of the Mishkan/Tabernacle and the Temples.

Both were just as our bodies are while on earth:

temporary physical dwelling places for God’s presence,

His Ruach HaKodesh/ רוח הקודש ‎,

Ruach HaKodesh is God the Creator:

In the Tanakh/Bible, the words breath and Spirit are 2 different translations of exactly the same word: רוח /ruach.

Of the 348 times ruach appears in the Tanakh, it is translated 321 times as spirit and only 27 times as breath.

It would seem that the Ruach Hakodesh is divine inspiration or prophetic inspiration and is not the same as what is generally taught in Christianity. No place in the Hebrew Scriptures is there any reference to a spirit divine in itself, or Holy Ghost, as distinct from a spirit that comes from God to inspire human beings.

His Ruach HaKodesh is called the Comforter, which is the word used for the advocate who goes before the judge on behalf of someone to plead his case.

We are told in this verse that this pleader, who comes from the Father at the request of Yeshua/Jesus, will teach us all things.

Ruach Ha-Kodesh (ROO-akh hak-KOH-desh)

Holy Spirit; the Holy Ghost

(Luke 3:16; 11:13; Eph. 1:13; 4:30; 1 Thess. 4:8;

Titus 3:5; 1 Cor. 6:9; Jude 1:20).

Occurs more than 90 times in the

ReNewed Testament/Brit Chadashah.

Hebrew: רוח הקודש, holy spirit

also transliterated ruacḥ ha-qodesh

is a term used in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish writings

to refer to the spirit of YHWH (רוח יהוה).

He fulfilled the pattern of the process to approach the Father’s presence with His Own Blood as the sacrificial atonement for all sin for all time, for who so ever will accept that that is exactly what He has done.

As High priest He entered into the

Holy- NAOS/ miqdash place –

the Holy of Holies

and placed His own blood on the

Mercy Seat of The Ark of the Covenant.

The kapporet.

This required Him going through the veil that hung between the Holy Place where the menorah/ showbread/ bronze altar of incense were and the Holy of Holies where the Ark was.

It is recorded that the temple veil/ curtain was torn at the moment of His death, opening the WAY to the father’s presence the Holy of Holies where the ark of the covenant was located.

I AM the WAY

His death was the acceptable sacrifice and we can now access God’s presence without any further sacrificial death needed and that means, no more priests are needed either; as

Jesus/Yeshua is our High Priest.

He became forever the WAY to the Father – the truth and the life.

The Life in His blood is eternal it will never die and He is alive for evermore.

Now we can also enter in through the veil

because it was torn for us.

The blood of bulls, goats, lambs and birds dries and decays; His blood contains the eternal nature of the God of all creation who sits on the eternity of eternities.

This is life everlasting, full of glory.

The blood continually speaks and cries mercy for us.

The Blood still speaks because it still has a voice.

Ever speaking from the Mercy seat of the ark… His blood covenant with us.

How is it possible? Because the very life of God is in The Blood of His Son.. His blood is still alive it has not dried up and never will, The life of the creator is eternal in nature so it is alive forevermore just as His Son is life everlasting and full of glory.

Hebrew Scriptures devote more time and attention to the Tabernacle, and everything contained inside the Tabernacle than to any other single thing. So it would seem we need to pay more attention to this pattern too…

Significant items found inside the Tabernacle would include

the Altar of Burnt Offering,

the Laver,

the Table of Showbread,

the Lampstand,

the Altar of Incense,

the Ark of the Covenant with

the Mercy Seat.

the Ark of the Covenant contained

the stone tablets on which were written the ten commandments,

the manna preserved in a clay jar,

the budding staff of Aaron

As we have already noted:

Mishkan is spelled

Mem, Sheen, Kaf and Noon.

Mishkan is the Hebrew word we translate into English as Tabernacle.

Noon         Kaf         Sheen         Mem

Transliteration: mishkan

Phonetic Spelling: (mish-kawn’)

There is one major theme revealed in the pictures and numbers  of the Hebrew word pictures that we translate as Tabernacle.

It is interesting to see that all the other mysteries contained in all the sacrifices, ceremonies furnishings, construction and architecture of the Tabernacle have their root in this one Eternal Truth.

The Tabernacle was built on the earth

but

it is actually a Shadow, a Type,

of something everlasting in the heavenlies…

and it was shown to Moses in the book of Exodus!

Secrets Of A Life Filled With Feasts

Are we living life to the full?

A moedim-chaim?

There are several scriptures where the length of our life appears to be given a specific number of years. One is in Psalms 90:10. The days of our years are three score years and ten, which equals 70 and we often this use as an indicator of human lifespan. The other sometimes referred to is in Genesis 6:3.

Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” (Berean Study Bible) So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days shall be 120 years.”

Notice this verse does not explicitly teach that mankind’s lifespan was limited to 120 years, however what are we to do with what we are allotted?

Interestingly the 120 year timeline was given 120 years prior to the flood, so maybe it was referring to the fact that humanity as a whole only had another 120 years to live before the flood came and not to the length of years that an individual could live?

Whether this is correct or not, our lives do have structure when we are His own, as believers in Messiah.

Is there is a pattern for His Ecclesia in His Moedim? (Annual appointed times for every year?)

In the cycle of life, they are not only for seasons and times of harvest in the agricultural year but they are also for remembrance and rehearsal…

They are also for indicating the promise of future prophetic fulfillment. Do the Moedim/ 7 feasts/appointed times; also have a practical application to our individual lives?

Pronounced moe-eh-DEEM – מועדים

Strong’s Hebrew: 4150. מוֹעֵד moed or Mow’ed: Appointed time, place.

There are many 7’s in the Scriptures. The KJV mentions the word 391 times.

The Gospel of Luke lists 77 generations from Adam to Jesus/Yeshua.

Important Note: the reference to words and their equivalent numbers in posts, is due to every letter in the Hebrew alphabet having a numerical value assigned to it, similar to Greek etc. (See charts below.)

(The first mobile cell phones used this same principle for texting).
MMM is NOT recommending occult based numerology and/or the use of numbers as in Horoscopes/dark arts, or connected to the magic and mysticism of Jewish Kabbalah.)
The definition of Gematria / ɡ ə ˈ m eɪ t r i ə / (Hebrew: גמטריא or גימטריה , plural גמטראות or גמטריאות , gematriot) is one of several methods of assigning a numerical value to a Hebrew name, word or phrase based on its letters.
Gematria is a type of numerological study that may be defined as one of more systems for calculating the numerical equivalence of letters, words, and phrases in a particular Hebrew text and to finding hidden meanings in the numerical values of words.

Gematria works on the premise that the letters of the alphabet can also be used as numbers, and therefore words and phrases acquire distinctive numerical values.
A well known example is that of Revelation 13:18  Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of that beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six [666].

Proverbs has seven pillars of wisdom that are in the building of the house of the Lord which can now be applied to our physical bodies, as we are containers of His spirit – ruach, instead of the temple sanctuary of a literal stone building.

Torah – is the wisdom of God – understanding our life with wisdom – we are to get understanding – wisdom is for spiritual life.

The Ark of the Covenant

It was the heart of Gods’ shekinah presence.

(Hebrew: אָרוֹן הַבְּרִית, Modern: Arōn Ha’brēt, Tiberian: ʾĀrôn Habbərîṯ),
also known as the Ark of the Testimony, is a gold-covered wooden chest with lid cover described in the Book of Exodus as containing the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. The covenant on stone as Daniel saw in 2:34.

The Stone cut without human hands, is the child born without human hands.

A virgin conception!

The stone that was cut without human hands represents God’s kingdom.

This stone will replace all the earthly kingdoms (Revelation 21:1).

The renewed covenant written on hearts of flesh as prophesied by Jeremiah 31:33

Therefore entrance into the blessings of the Covenant, must come through Messiah Jesus/Yeshua/Yahshua alone, for He is the HEART of Torah.

The first letter of the Torah is b (and a v), a Bet (בּ) (bereishit –בְּרֵאשִׁית) Genesis; and the last letter of the Torah is l, a Lamed (ל) in the word יִשְׂרָאֵל – Israel . These 2 letters together spell the Hebrew word for heart which is l-v and lev with the vowel added.

The circumcision of the flesh regulation stated previously was a sign of the Abrahamic Covenant, but Christ circumcises those who have faith in Him, and this circumcision is of the heart [Rom 2:28-29] [Luke 22:20].

The seven pillars of His wisdom are continually maturing within our hearts and minds and as we become conformed to His image; this foundation gives place for the pillars of His life within us.

The pillars are integral to support the life of the spirit within. Cycling us continually towards His heart at the center of our beings. Returning to Him whenever we stumble or stray from His path.

Do the 7 pillars of wisdom perhaps also refer to the 7 Moedim?

Turn and keep on coming. Joel 2:12 AMPC. Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored].

Jerusalem is built on seven hills just as Rome is, one reflecting the natural world, the flesh and the devil principles.

The other Jerusalem is the spiritual type and also reflects the shadow of that which is to come.

Even the new Jerusalem is the final dwelling place of all that is complete in shalom.

Ezekiel prophesied of the Rebirth of Israel. He gives a chronological order of events from the rebirth of Israel to the construction of the third temple (which is the end of Ezekiel prophecies).
Israel’s restoration prophesied by Ezekiel was to be physical then followed by spiritual. Ezekiel 36:36-7 Prophecy to the Mountains of Israel. 36 “And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.
He prophesied of the hills!
and the people shall fill the waste cities as the flocks at the time of the great feasts covered the hills …

The 7 Moedim are an annual guide to the believer, both of that which has been fulfilled by Messiah; and also for the preparation and ongoing prophetic timeline on future events.

Taking another perspective, reveals that they also possibly hold the mystery of spiritual development, growth and maturity in each of our individual lives. Could this be one of the secrets to living a life fulfilled in the will of God?

Has God hidden the mystery of our life within the Hebrew year and His Moedim?

The annual cycle of the year begins with Passover – Pesach.

This is the beginning of our life in Him. It starts with salvation and as we receive the Lamb of God the pesach offering, our sins are taken away and we start a new life, sinless. The Power of the Passover/ pesach changes us and changes our future, our life will never be the same again. If it is, then consider if we are really walking in His provision, for out of true repentance comes the 180° turn around to go the other way the opposite direction.

The disciples, apostles, left the old way of life –leaving their nets behind them – have we left the things that held us? or have we compromised a little by simply adding Him into what we are content to remain with and want to keep and all we are familiar with? Can our families and friends see a change?? Are our lives really truly centered, focused and fulfilling the gospel word of Jesus/Yeshua? Or is our time with Him carefully slotted in and scheduled at our convenience?

The Moedim cycle of each and every year we live, presents an opportunity for reflection and change!

The power of Pesach truly releases us from bondage just as it did for the children of Israel coming out of Egypt. It ends the old life of slavery to sin and marks the beginning of a journey of life in and with God.

Pesach = Deliverance.

Set free to serve Him – willingly.

The second feast/ appointed time and level of our lives /walk/ journey with Him is our First fruits. Yom Resheet the day of first fruits the first day of the week of eating Unleavened Bread.

As we begin to walk in the power of His resurrection we begin to bear fruit in our lives.

The First Fruit of our salvation is the First Fruits of repentance and change.

First fruits of the unconditional love of the father flowing through us which pertains to life and all godliness in the image of Jesus. First fruits of the newness of life abundant, the joy of salvation and the glory of the father as we walk with Him. This is the first harvest.

Omer count = Separation to Revelation.

Father will often separate us from old things in order to reveal to us new things and we become part of the ecclesia- the called out ones.

3rd Feast – next is our life experiences – Pentecost/Shavuot – the fire of the father in the form of the Ruach haKodesh.

Giving of the Spirit.

The promise from the Sinai covenant when Torah was first given.

He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Deep cleansing and preparation waiting on Him and learning among other things, patience!

Tarry here – we wait along the way for the infilling of the exousia, the raw power to make us ready, anointed and willing to do the works of God and to fulfill all that we have being called to be and do for His kingdom.

To go and make disciples, having first become one ourselves.

The fire burns away all the chaff from our hearts and enables the gold within to shine forth and empower us to reach forward for the next greater summer harvest in the life cycle.

The 4th harvest feast could be speaking of the harvest of our salvation as we GO forth for the fields white unto harvest but the workers are few.

Leviticus 23; Psalm 139:16

As we reap the rewards of blessing by giving life to others in sharing the true bounty of life abundant.

Fulfilling our calling in ministering both to the lost and to the Saints. 2 Cor.9:1; Heb.6:10.

This could represent the main period of our life as it continues and makes up the major content of our years.

Until we come into the fifth appointed time of our lives. Yom teruah the blowing of the shofar/ trumpet;

And then will come the time of trumpets, ‘the autumn’, ‘the fall’, of our salvation.

The golden years.

The finishing up of our reaping His harvest, the completing of its gathering in; and our time of preparation to meet our Heavenly Father.

Tying up the loose ends putting everything in order. Anything as yet left undone is quickly put in place, decently and in order.

True shalom.

Nothing missing nothing broken, mislaid, misplaced or left undone. All is as it should be, no omissions or regrets, for soon will be upon us the remaining feasts in quick succession.

Yom kippur the day of atonement, the sixth appointed time of our life as we will stand alone before our heavenly father.

Panim al panim – face to face.

מָּנִים אֶלמָּֿנִים

Strong’s Hebrew: 6440. פָּנִים (panim or paneh) — face, faces

The Mercy Seat where the blood was sprinkled

Hebrew רחמים (pronounced rakhamim) is usually translated as “mercy.” Notice the IM! It’s actually plural in form, multiple mercies on the Ark of His Presence.

His MERCIES are new every morning!

In an earlier post we looked at Hebrew words including “face” (פנים, panim), “water” (מים, mayim), and even God (אלהים, elohim).

Then we shall behold Him, face to face. And see Him as He is. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 John 3:2; Rom. 14:10

It’s not in judgment for sin for we are already acquitted. (The great white throne judgment for those who are not His own, but the Bema seat of Christ, the judgment seat of Messiah, is for the works we have done in obedience to His call.)

The Holy fire of His presence will consume all that was not of His command and reveal only the gold of that which was His will. 1 Cor. 3:12-15

This leads us to Sukkot,

the 7th and final appointed time in

the lifecycle of a true believer will be to live, abide and stay with Him forever.

To Tabernacle in His presence, the booths containing His presence, His joy, His love, His blessings and its ultimate conclusion,

Shemini atseret – the eighth day of Sukkoth – the completion of reading Torah and Simchat Torah – the joy of the Torah.

The Eighth Day

8 represents a new beginning, meaning a new order or creation, and man’s true ‘born again’ event when he is resurrected from the dead into eternal life.  Eight is the personal number of Jesus. When we add together the letter values of the name Jesus in the Greek we get 888.

8th day– the great last day – eternity – the prophetic Torah complete – the day that celebrates the torah called, the joy of the torah, or rejoicing of/[with the]Torah

Hebrew: שִׂמְחַת תּוֹרָה שִׂמְחַת

and the new beginning* – enter the JOY of your Lord

as He says well done you good and faithful servant – no more tears only JOY.

*Simchat Torah or Simḥath Torah (also Simkhes Toreh, Hebrew: שִׂמְחַת תורָה, lit., “Rejoicing with/of the Torah,”) is a celebration marking the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings, and the beginning of a new cycle. Simchat Torah is a component of the Biblical Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret (“Eighth Day of Assembly”), which follows immediately after the festival of Sukkot in the month of Tishrei (mid-September to early October on the Gregorian calendar).

O ur

Y ears

Judge ourselves with JOY that we be not judged…

The Moedim and what they represent seem to be a cycle that should be an integral part of every believing ecclesia?

Although we are not to come under bondage again to the law as such; according to 2 Timothy 3:16. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

So the Moedim have value for our training.

His Word both the written word and the living Word are mirrors for us and we should hold them up in front of our lives to see if the reflection is that of Jesus/Yeshua in us, the hope of glory. He is in the Moedim, the very essence and fulfillment of them both in our lives and literally. He is the only Feast that truly satisfies.

He is the Word –

He is the Heart of the Word/Torah –

His life is The Word –

Written not on stone in an ark but on our hearts; and we are now the ark of His renewed covenant

The container of His Ruach/Spirit –

The 7 pillars of His wisdom supporting His life within –

The corner stone of our faith – not cut with hands –

We see Him as we walk through every one of His Moedim and finally to join us to Himself in the marriage of the Lamb on that last great day! Hallelujah!
