HOW TO PRAY THE WORD

Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, we can simply say out loud what we are reading in scripture and as we hear the words, our spirits receive them and faith rises in our hearts. Whatever the need find the scripture that applies to the situation and make it personal to you.

Putting Godly /Biblical principles into action every day, will bring the full benefit of the covenant into our daily lives, then 1 John 3:22 will apply; And whatever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments. (Keeping covenant with Him), will become a reality.

PRAYER FOR HEDGE OF PROTECTION

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up __________ to you and pray a hedge of protection around him/her. I thank You, Father, that You are a wall of fire around about __________ and that You have sent Your angels to encamp around about him/her.

I thank You, Father, that __________ dwells in the secret place of the Most High and abides under the shadow of the Almighty. I say of You, Lord, that You are his/her refuge and fortress: his/her God; in You will he/she trust. You cover __________ with Your feathers, and under Your wings shall he/she trust. Your truth shall be his/her shield and buckler.

Give safety to my children and protect them day by day against the scorning and scoffing of those who are out of harmony with you. On the authority of Your Word, I ask that all their schemes be destroyed and rendered powerless and ineffective against us.

Father, You, and You alone, are our safety and our protection. My household and I are looking to You, for our strength comes from You—the God Who made heaven and earth. You will not let us stumble. You are our Guardian God Who will not fall asleep. You are right at our side to protect us. You guard us from every evil. You guard our very lives. You guard us when we leave and when we return. On the authority of Your Word, I proclaim that the blood of Jesus is our protection; as You have said in Your Word, “When I see the blood, I will pass over you” (Ex. 12:13 amp). I thank You, Father, that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. As parents, we will not provoke, irritate or fret our children. We will not be hard on them or harass them or cause them to become discouraged, sullen or morose or to feel inferior and frustrated. We will not break or wound their spirits, but we will rear them tenderly in the training, discipline, counsel and admonition of the Lord. We will train them in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.

 O Lord, my Lord, how excellent (majestic and glorious) is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory on [or above] the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and unweaned infants You have established strength because of Your foes, that You might silence the enemy and the avenger. I sing praises to Your name, O Most High. The enemy is turned back from my children in the name of Jesus! They increase in wisdom and in favor with You and man.

We thank you for your angels that you have assigned to our children. You have given your angels charge over them, to keep them in all their ways. We reverence you and acknowledge you as our Lord and Savior. Thank you for the angel of the LORD who encamps all around our children and delivers them from perilous situations. AFFIRMING THE WORD

Next we need to apply and affirm the Word of God into our daily life and make it personal. We have spiritual protection available to us and we need to avail ourselves of it. Just as we taught and trained ourselves and those we love to put on a seatbelt in the car, we need to make a habit of keeping in place the full armor of God found in Ephesians and to do it with understanding. Just as not taking the time to put a seatbelt in place may result in serious injury or death to our physical body, not taking the time to protect our selves and our loved ones can be just as devastating to our spiritual well being. Not having time to pray what may seem a lengthy prayer may indicate we are too busy with less vital things. Youth and busyness and desire for instant gratification and saying quick ‘drive through’ prayers do not constitute a close relationship with the Lord.

Its only truth that you know and apply and act on in faith, that will make you free.

PLEADING THE BLOOD OF JESUS

The Blood of Jesus has the power to protect us against any attack of the enemy. It was the blood of the sacrificial lamb was applied to the doorposts and lintel of the home and that protected them from the spirit of death that passed over them in Egypt. That was the old covenant and was prophetic of the day that Jesus would be our sacrificial lamb. Today under the re-new-ed covenant, paid for in Jesus’ Blood, we can apply the Blood in faith, in like manner, over our bodies, lives, families and homes as protection.

With the Blood of Jesus I am redeemed out of the hands of the devil and he has no part in me and no power over me and I renounce him, loose myself from him, and command him to leave me, in the name of Jesus the Messiah.

Through the Blood of Jesus all my past is forgiven and as I apply His Blood to my life it continually cleanses me from all sin. Through the Blood of Jesus I am made righteous and justified, just as if I’d never sinned; I am sanctified, made holy and set apart to God. My body is a sanctuary being cleansed, by Jesus’ redeeming Blood in which His Holy Spirit can abide.

Father, I come in the name of Jesus to plead His Blood over my life and over all that you have blessed to me, and covering everything over which You have made me a steward.

I plead the Blood of Jesus on the entrances to my mind, my body (the sanctuary of the Holy Spirit), my emotions, and my will. I believe that I am protected by the Blood of the Lamb which your Word says I can come boldly before the throne of grace to find help in time of need and this gives me access into Your presence. 

I plead the Blood of Jesus over/on my children, on my grandchildren and their children, and on all family members and friends that You have given me in this life.

Lord, You have said that the life of the flesh is in the Blood. Thank You for this Blood that has cleansed me from sin and sealed the New Covenant of which I am a partaker. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

 KEEPING THE ARMOR OF GOD IN PLACE

Based on:  Eph. 6:10-18;  Eph. 6:11-14;  2 Cor. 5:18; John 17:17;  Eph. 6:16,17;  2 Cor. 10:4; 1 John 4:4;  Eph. 6:14,15;  Eph. 6:18;  Eph. 2:14;  2 Cor. 3:5,6; amp;  Ps. 34:14The amplified version of Ephesians 6:10-19. Paul expounds on the command to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. In the next 7 verses, he tells us how to carry it out. In verse 18, By praying always with all prayer and supplication (requests) in the spirit and watching with strong purpose and perseverance; (for as long as it takes). And verse 13 having done all to stand firmly in your place. It is clear that whoever does verse 18, is the person who will become what verse 10 refers to as, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Once we have ‘put on’ the whole armor of God we should NEVER take it off again! You don’t need to ‘put it on’ every day just affirm it is always in place whether awake or asleep. We are then able to stand against the wiles and strategies of the devil. The technique of wrestling against principalities, powers, rulers of the devils kingdom and against spiritual wickedness in high places is done through prayer as seen in verse 12. The result of this defensive type prayer is seen in verse 13 where you become able to stand in the greatest day of temptation.

Often the ‘evil day’, is the day immediately following the victory.

This being the case you need only affirm and confirm that you have on your armor saying the following declaration:

In the Name of Jesus, I have on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, I stand firm against the attacks and wiles of the devil. For I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. I stand, therefore, having on the belt of truth. Your Word is truth, which will continually defend me from error and deception and contains all the weapons of my warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through You to the pulling down of strongholds.

I have the Belt of TRUTH around my waist through the Word of God, which will continually defend me from deception and ERROR. I will know the truth and the truth will make me free. I am free because whomever the Son sets free is free indeed. I am free from (say whatever you have been set free from). I am a child of God. His Holy Spirit guides me into all truth. He will guide me with His eye. I have the wisdom and knowledge of God. His Holy Spirit will instruct me in the way I should go.

I have on the breastplate of righteousness of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with You, which is faith and love, that continually defends me from being OFFENDED. (We are offended when we do or think something wrong opening the door to the enemy, we need to remain vigilant to keep these doors closed).   Because of the work of the cross Jesus has placed on me a robe of righteousness, I am the righteousness of God in Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus over myself today. Forgive me of my sins this day. Convict me Holy Spirit of any wrong and search my heart for any secret sin. The righteous are as bold as a lion. I thank you for boldness to do your will today. Help me to speak your word with great boldness. I am established today in your righteousness.I have on the Shoes of PEACE which only walk in places where God can go with me; this results in Gods DIRECTION in my life all day, every day.  In Jesus I have peace, His true shalom, where no good thing is withheld and nothing is missing or broken and I pursue that peace with all men. I am a minister of reconciliation, proclaiming the good news of the Gospel, please help me to be prepared to speak the truth in love and with boldness when you send someone across my path today to share the good news with. I thank you that you have made a covenant with me that your laws and Your Words are written on my heart and in my mind. You said that you put Your Words in my mouth. Let my life reflect the gospel of peace. Use me Lord to bless someone today. 

I have covering me the shield of FAITH, which quenches every flaming missile and fiery dart and all the burning arrows*** of the enemy. By refusing any evil THOUGHT. My mind and thoughts are staying focused on the Lord. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. I am an overcomer in you. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I thank you for my angels. I have an angel of the Lord that encamps around about me. I am protected from the evil one and delivered from the evils of this present world. As according to Ps 5:13 and Ps 7:13 you Lord will bless the righteous and You will cover me with favor like a buckler* and you Lord give FULL PROTECTION.
I have on the Helmet of my SALVATION which the scripture reveals as the HOPE of glory. This defends my mind and thoughts from DOUBT or unbelief. I have the mind of Christ and no weapon formed against my mind will prosper as I am holding the thoughts, feelings, and purpose of Your heart, Lord. I think on things, which are good, pure, perfect, lovely, and of good report. I take authority over my mind today. I have authority over all the power of the enemy. I choose to cast down every vain imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and I will bring them all into captivity to the obedience of Christ. I belong to Jesus and I give Your Holy Spirit control of my thoughts. I submit my mind to You Father, I resist the devil, and he must flee.

I have the Sword of the SPIRIT, which is the your WORD . This means in the face of all trials, tests, temptations, and tribulation, I cut to pieces every snare of the enemy by speaking Your Word. For Greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world and I have the mind of Jesus and only hear what He says rejecting DISCOURAGEMENT from any and every evil force.

I take the Sword of the Spirit and I use it on the offense. I will not shrink back. I am a soldier for Christ. We wrestle against principalities. I thank you for the power of your word. It is sharper than any two-edged sword. Your Word will not return void but it accomplish the task it was sent to do. Your Word is true. You are not a man that you would lie. I am a doer of your Word. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide your Word in my heart so that I will not sin against you.

I will pray in the Spirit at all times on every occasion, in every season by the power of the Holy Spirit with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. Holy Spirit prays through me, interceding on my behalf, according to and in harmony with God’s will and so I remain grateful and avoid resentment. This builds up my inner man and gives me strength for the day. I will pray for the saints according to your word. To that end I will keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints. My power and ability and sufficiency are from You Who qualified me as a minister and a dispenser of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ]. Amen.

He is our buckler* and our rereward** / rearguard. (Rearguard of an army is to give protection on the march.)

A buckler*. (*Heb. ‘Buckler’ means, ’that which goes around’, a very large shield to protect the whole body on 3 sides. The Lord gives full protection).   His Glory is also our protection/ rereward** (coming after or behind us.)

For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward. Is 52:12

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Is 58:8

FOR THOSE WHO WANT A LITTLE HEBREW

Affirm and confirm that you have on your armor saying the following declaration. Remember our spiritual protection should never be taken off once it is in place.

I confirm I have all my spiritual armor in place and I am applying the principles to my life today and operating in their fullness for the weapons of my warfare are mighty through Adonai Elohim to the pulling down of strongholds, for I do not fight against flesh and blood but am able to stand against all the wiles of the devil.

I have on the BELT of TRUTH through the Logos Written Word of Adonai Elohim which will continually defend me from ERROR and Deception.

I have covering my Chest the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which continually defends me from being OFFENDED. (We are offended when we do or think something wrong opening the door to the enemy, we need to remain vigilant to keep these doors closed.)  I am protecting my heart, my spirit and soul for out of it flow the issues of life.       (Is 11:5;   Is 59:17 )

I have on my feet the SHOES of SHALOM/PEACE which only walk in places where Yeshua can go with me; this results in Yeshua DIRECTION in my, life all day, every day. They keep me in the Way/Derek of Adonai Elohim. Where He guides me in all the Ways of His True Shalom where there is nothing missing and nothing broken and no lack of anything, no disease, no need of anything.    (Is 11:6-10 Is 52:7 Nahum 1:15)

I have on my head the HELMET of my SALVATION which the scripture reveals as HOPE. This defends my mind and thoughts from FEAR, DOUBT or UNBELIEF. My mind and thoughts stay focused on Him and things pertaining to the kingdom of heaven, righteousness, joy and shalom in the Ruach Ha Kodesh. 

I have the HEREV a small SWORD (for personal use) of the SPIRIT, which is the RHEMA SPOKEN WORD of GOD. This means I have the mind of Yeshua and I only hear what He says rejecting DISCOURAGEMENT from any and every evil force that is out of harmony with the will and plan and purpose of Adonai Elohim for my life.   It is also my offensive weapon to wage war on everything negative whose source is Ra.

I have PRAYER by praying always* by the power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh/Holy Spirit who prays through me interceding on my behalf according to and in harmony with Adonai’s will and so remaining grateful and avoiding resentment. Blessing Adonai at all times for His goodness, faithfulness and provision (Romans 8: 26 and 27 AmpBible)     * Refers to a 1st century way of saying short sentences of thankfulness to Adonai during the day.   We can say things like: Modeh Ani /Thank you Adonai; Raba Emunatecha/Your faithfulness is great. I am Makarios (Greek)/Blessed and Happy 

Y’hee Or = Let there be light

(Speak the light of Adonal into whatever situation or circumstances needs the intervention of His presence and power.)I have covering my whole body, the Long SHIELD of FAITH/TRUST and refuse any ‘evil’ THOUGHT, that is ‘out of harmony’ with Adonai My mind and thoughts are staying focused on Hashem. With this Shield I extinguish all the burning arrows of the evil one. (Burning from injuries inflicted in the past with the effects still felt today.) As according to Ps 5:13 you Adonai will bless the righteous. You will cover me with favor like a buckler* (Whole body) Ps 7:13 * That which goes around. Ps 5:13 for you Adonai will bless the righteous You will cover him with favor like a buckler* (a very large shield to protect the whole body on 3 sides Adonai Himself is our rearguard.)

Father in the Name of Jesus, as I lie down in peace to sleep, I plead the blood of Jesus upon my life, within me, around me, and between me and all evil and the author of evil and between any source that would release harm against me my household, my family and friends. Your Word says that you give Your beloved sleep, as we lay down in peace and safety. Eph. 1:6 says I am accepted in the beloved, so as your beloved child I claim the promise of your Word.

Father, thank You for peaceful sleep, and for Your angels that encamp around us who fear You. You deliver us and keep us safe. The angels excel in strength, do Your word, and heed the voice of Your word. You give Your angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.Father, I sing for joy upon my bed because You sustain me. I bring every thought, every imagination, and every dream into the captivity and obedience of Jesus Christ. Father, I thank You that, even as I sleep, my heart counsels me and reveals to me Your purpose and plan. Thank You for sweet sleep, for You promised Your beloved sweet sleep. Therefore, my heart is glad and my spirit rejoices as I commit myself body and soul/spirit into your hands and I and confidently rest for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. I will praise you today. Let the high praises of God be in my mouth and a two-edged sword in my hand. I will praise you because You are worthy of my praise. I place on myself a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness. Put a new song in my heart Lord. Let your praise be continually on my lips.

I thank you Lord that you are a God of healing, provision, and restoration. You are my healer. It is the will of God for me to be healed. You took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. You said you heal all our diseases. You are my provider. Those who seek you will not lack any good thing. You will prosper me as my soul prospers. As I seek you first, you will add all things to me. All my needs are met in Jesus. You have made a covenant with me that as I tithe and give an offering that you will supply all my needs and I will reap abundantly. You are the God of restoration. As I talk with You and walk pure and upright before You, You will rouse Yourself on my behalf and restore me to my rightful place. You will restore what the cankerworm has eaten up. You restore my soul.

I thank you Lord that I walk in the fruit of your Spirit. It is not by might, not by power, but by your Spirit says the Lord. I have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This is my personality in you.

My body is whole and healthy. I eat healthy food. I exercise physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally on a level of maximum efficiency. I love and respect my body and call it holy as the Lord my God is holy.

Metabolism, glandular, blood sugar levels, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, neuro-muscular, all systems of my body, every cell, every organ functions as they were created to function in perfect harmony and balance.

I walk in the wholeness of Jesus Christ. I have outward and inward beauty. The beauty of Jesus radiates from my very presence, I am His light in this world. The Jesus that is in me is beautiful and the fragrance of the Lord follows me wherever I go. I am the bride of Christ, pure, spotless and blameless before Him.

The favor of the Lord rests upon me and is unconditionally abounding toward me in every situation and circumstance. God and man love and accept me. I am accepted in the beloved.

Jesus has plans and a hope for my future, and I will fulfill every part of what He has for me. Satan is bound from interfering with the divine path of destiny the Lord Jesus has called me to. I will no longer let fear, intimidation, rejection or any other thing stand in my way.I run the race with a victor’s crown on my head and feet that are swift to reach the high calling God has placed upon my life. I walk on high places in the power of His Holy Spirit who resides in me.

I am violently and forcefully taking back everything the enemy has stolen from me. All of satans plans and assignments are cancelled. I am fully equipped and equipping others in the art of warfare. The high praises of God are upon my lips. I stand with a two edged sword in my hand slicing into and pushing back the forces of darkness. The weapons of my warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. I am sharpened as iron sharpens iron.

I have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts feelings and intentions of his heart. I take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus my lord. The shield of faith quenches every fiery dart directed at my mind. I do not entertain vain imaginations. I think only on the glorious and lovely things.

The words of my mouth are words that are creative and bring life to all who hear them. He has anointed me to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free. I am more than a conqueror by the word of my testimony and the Blood of the Lamb.

The love of God is shed abroad in my heart for all men. God’s love for me is unconditional. God is continually pouring out favor and blessing upon my life and the lives of my family members. We live in the spiritual prosperity and wisdom of Solomon, the freedom and favor of David and the faith of Abraham our forefather.

Goodness and mercy follow us as the angels of the Lord God protect and encourage us at every turn. We hear the voice of the Lord. No weapon formed against us prospers and every tongue that rises against us You shall condemn. Word curses of others shall bear no fruit in our lives. They are returned immediately to the demonic source from where they came. We are free from all curses for Jesus the Messiah became a curse for us at Calvary.

Therefore, we are abundantly supplied, divinely healthy, completely beautiful, and fully restored. We are whole and thriving as a tree planted by the divine waters of life. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. We abide in the Lord Jesus Christ and are fruitful.

It is not by our might or by our power but it is by your Spirit all Gods promises are yes and amen.

PRAISING THE LORD ACCORDING TO HIS NAMES

There are over 50 Names of God to be found in the Bible, He also has many titles which all reveal a part of His character and show us who He is and what He is like. God has no name as we understand names.As Psalm 20:1 tells us the name of the Lord defends us and Ps 48: 10 we are told ‘according to the name of the Lord we do praise Him.’

It is so important to make the word personal to yourself. Put your name in the scriptures and make it your own, remembering that the Lord watches over His word to perform it and that no word goes forth from him and returns void but goes out to accomplish what he sends it to do. (Isaiah 55:11) So say out loud something like this….

FULLER LIST OF NAMES OF GOD

Why it helps to spend some minutes thinking about the ‘Names’ of God.

First, according to the biblical text, there are many benefits to knowing and using the Names of the Lord.

As Psalm 20:1 tells us the name of the Lord defends us and Ps 48: 10 we are told ‘according to the name of the Lord we do praise Him.’

Simply read (some or all) the major names in the list each day, thinking on what great things the Lord will do for you as revealed by His ‘names’, they will not fail to inspire, even on a bad day!

There are over 50 Names of God to be found in the Bible, He also has many titles which all reveal a part of His character and show us who He is and what He is like. God has no name as we understand names and even the word God is never spoken or fully written by observant Orthodox Jews. Traditionally the name of God was only spoken on Yom Kippur by the High Priest .. today Jesus is our High Priest, there is no more sacrifice required and the presence of God in the form of Holy Spirit is not confined to the ark of the covenant. He is everywhere we believe Jesus is the Son of God and as He said Himself, ‘if you have seen Me you have seen the Father’ and He also told us in John 16:23 ‘to ‘ask the Father in my Name’. So to use His Name is important.

YHWH (Yud Hay Vav Hay) The all powerful Creative Covenant God and it is the redemptive Name of God.

(This is often pronounced Yaweh as Orthodox Jewish people, (those not yet born again) never say the name of God as they consider it too holy to utter. (The name Yaweh /YHWH is merely the sum of 4 Hebrew letters pronounced phonetically).  It is recorded that Moses said to God, in Exodus 3:13-14 “when I come to the Israelites and say to them The God of your fathers has sent me to you and they say to me What is His name? What shall I say to them?” God’s reply was, “You shall say this to the Israelites … I am Who I am and what I am and I will be what I will be and you shall say this to the Israelites. El Sali means God is my rock (Ps. 42:10) also Elohim Tzur = God of rock (2 Sam 22:47)

El Simchat Gili means God who is the joy of my praise or exaltation (Ps. 43:3)

El Ro’i means God who allows me to see Him to understand Him through His Word and His deeds (Gen. 16:13)El De’ot means God of Knowledge (Omniscience = 1 Sam. 2:3)

El Ha’oneh Oti Beyom Tzarati means The God who answers me in the day of my trouble (Gen. 35:3)

El Emunah means The God of faith (Deut. 32:4).

El Yeshuati means The God of my salvation (Is. 12:2 Ps. 88:2)

(Sometimes translated as the almighty breasty one and is probably the most well known as it has been popular for many years but it is certainly not the only name.) Exodus 5:3 “I appeared to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty (El Shaddai) but my name the Lord (YAHWEH- the redemptive name of God ) I did not make Myself known to them in acts and great miracles).” AmpElohim Kedoshim means Holy God (Leviticus 19:2) and

(Judges 6:24) (‘settled quietness and composure of mind ‘means, the fullness of the word for peace which is ‘Shalom’ which is ‘full, total and complete wholeness for the human spirit, soul (mind will emotions), and body.’)

YHWH Tzidkenu means My God who causes me to be righteous (Jer. 23:6, 33:16)

YHWH Shamma means My God Who is there with me (Ezekiel 48:35)

Elohay Chasdi means God of my kindness to men or piety* (Psalm 109:1) The one command we need to observe is to love and in Micah 6:8 ‘He has showed you o man what is good and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly and to love kindness and mercy and to humble yourself and walk humbly before your God”. Showing righteousness and justice in all our dealings.

There is a mistranslation of the words and a lack of understanding of what the words piety* and humility really mean today. Their meanings have changed in our modern society and we regard them as unnecessary or religious and as describing someone who is no more than a doormat to be downtrodden respectively. This could not be further from the truth. Our comprehension and understanding of words like these compromise our self image and how we see and relate to the things of God and to one another. Piety* is in reality the action of resigning oneself to the whole will of God. Its meaning includes in it all that is good and is a source of the most settled quietness and composure of mind. (‘settled quietness and composure of mind ‘means, the fullness of the word for peace which is ‘Shalom’ which is ‘full, total and complete wholeness for the human spirit, soul (mind will emotions), and body.’) Our willing resignation to the will of our Father God may be said to be perfect (mature, complete) when our will is lost and resolved and absorbed up into His.

When we rest in His will as our end, our destiny in Him, as being most just and right and good, it leads to the fullness of the kingdom of God within us and manifests in us as righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is from this perspective that we bear much fruit which is obvious to others and we are reminded to know others by the spirit. (Our spirit man discerns the root motivation behind their words and actions and by their fruit, we are to test every spirit to see whether it is of God or not.)

(Fruit is seen in the actions outworking in a persons’ life and is initiated from a persons’ inner motivation desires and agendas.) Many actions and words are motivated by self-serving agendas and as there is no gray area, no sitting on the fence, our thoughts come from only one of two sources and their respective authors. Good or Evil (The word evil in its essence means ‘out of harmony with God and His ways’.) We are encouraged to get knowledge and then to get understanding of that knowledge and learn how to apply it to our individual lives, families, homes and communities.

If we don’t understand how does it help us?Many leaders either cannot, or will not take the time to explain the ‘how to’s’ and sadly never equip the believers for the challenging times we all inevitably face.

Mmm doesn’t mean this to be longwinded but the desire is to simplify and help us to understand what we are saying instead of just a list of words to repeat.

The prime and most essential aspect is that you have a personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. How can you trust someone if you don’t know about them? How can you have a relationship with someone if you don’t spend time talking and finding out what they are like, how they think and what they are capable of?

The ‘list’ is not designed to be used as a shopping list to read hurriedly in an effort to get through it, but rather as a starting place where we can focus on who God is and what He is able to accomplish. God is essentially a spirit being, He is energy, He is light, He is the life of men, the life giver, and He is creation itself.

All that exists came from within Him.

Everything that scientists are discovering is not new to God, just new to us and the more they ‘discover/find out’, the more they are confirming that the Bible is accurate and true. As a spirit being, His Omni presence, His omnipotence and the vastness of His being becomes a little easier to comprehend when focusing on, or meditating on one of His ‘Names’ or descriptive attributes.

For example, ‘El HaShamayim’, means God of the Heavens, the universe and all that is in it. He spoke it all into being and it is still expanding. The thought that He can oversee all of that helps our faith to rise, knowing that He is more than able to answer my prayers, in fact super abundantly above all we can ask or even think and to meet  all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:19)

We are charged in Phil.4:8, to think on these things, to meditate on the word, keeping it before our eyes at all times. At the end of many Psalms, David encourages us to ‘selah’, which means to ‘pause and calmly think on that which you have just read’. Meditating on Gods words is not wrong. Selah also means to stop and listen to the music. Finally declare that something good is going to happen to you today and remember: Heb 13:5,6 Amplified version.

‘Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money (including greed avarice, lust and craving for earthly possessions) and be satisfied with your present circumstances and with what you have) for He (God) Himself has said I will not in any way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you without support. I will not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake, nor let you down or relax My hold on you! Assuredly not . So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldy say The Lord is my Helper I will not be seized with alarm I will not fear or dread or be terrified.’
