Showing respect for the great faith of those who have gone before

While preparing the pages two other, personal ‘manna’ references came to mind, as if to reconfirm the name.

First a poem written by a mmm’s ancestor from the 1900’s.

The second, a chorus from early post salvation days 30+ years ago.

Included here* is a verse from both of them, as a mark of respect for the great faith of those who have gone before us all.

Jesus/Yeshua is our ‘Bread of Life’, our ‘Manna from Heaven’, He remains the same, yesterday, today and forever.

The Lord’s my shepherd! with what care

He will my daily food prepare;

He will on heavenly Manna feed,

And me by living waters lead.

Shelter I find within His fold,

From summer’s heat and winters cold;

My every want in Him’s supplied,

Nay, ’twas for me He lived and died.

(by T.B. of Norbury)

Jesus has a table spread

Where the saints of God are fed

He invites His chosen people:

‘Come and dine’.

With his manna he does feed

And supplieth every need

Oh, it’s good to sup with Jesus all the time.

‘Come and dine’, the Master calls,’ Come and dine’

You can eat at Jesus’ table anytime.

He who fed the multitude,

Changed the water into wine

To the hungry calleth now, ‘Come and dine’.
