A Midweek Mannabite for those who are new to the site and/or have not seen the previous posts on Hanukkah/Chanukkah.
Many people assume Chanukkah/hanukkah is the Hebrew/Jewish equivalent of Christianity’s Christmas, which is celebrated both in Israel and around the world.

Today is the lighting of the 4th candle and
tomorrow will be the lighting of candle 5.
Although it is not an
Appointed Time of the Lord
it is celebrated by many.
Hanukkah is a Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
This took place at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire.
It is also known as the Festival of Lights.

For more on the why’s and wherefore’s
and the history of this festival/holiday, explaining things such as: there are 9 candles on the hanukkah menorah, not 7….

During this Hannukah/Chanukah Season, and always,
may the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel
help us to walk in the unforgettable and irrepressible radiance of His glory.
May our Heavenly Father help us shine with good works.
Ones that glorify His Name and draw all men unto Jesus,
His Messiah Yeshua HaMashiach!
Happy Hanukkah/Chanukkah family!
