Trusting In The Arm of the Flesh = Kalah?

What are we to do when we hear of wars and rumors of wars?

Messiah Himself prophesied of the signs that will occur and increase in both frequency and intensity before His Second Coming and the end of the world/age.

As it is today, we see a worldwide convergence of these signs like never before in history!

Matthew 24:6. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
It is going to happen that you are going to hear battles and reports of wars. Take heed that you will not be troubled, for it is necessary that all these things should happen, but it will not yet be the end.

In Matthew chapter 24,  Messiah describes the events leading up to His second coming and the establishment of His Kingdom on the Earth for His Millennium Kingdom. The scriptures in Revelation 5:10 New KJV
And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth. and in 2Tim. 2:12 if we endure we shall also reign with Him. as well as in 1Pet.2:9.

tell us that His chosen, will be kings and priests ruling with Him on earth.

This post is not a line by line study of all these verses in Mathew, rather a look at verse 6 wars and rumors of wars; and how we are to respond as His talmidim/disciples. Today there are many conflicting news reports of what is happening in the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and elsewhere. This post is not a commentary on the wars in any measure, only on our response to how scripture is being fulfilled in our day and time.

We must as believers and disciples of Messiah pray earnestly for His will and plan and purpose to be established, and not what we think should be done. At times like these when distractions come and propaganda is flourishing, we should do as the disciples did and ask the Lord

what is happening,

how we should respond and

what is our role in these days.

This chapter in Matthew is doubly prophetic, in the sense that the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. after Messiah/Christ was resurrected and His ecclesia/called apart-ones/ church was established. However, it is also prophetic of events leading up to His return/ 2nd coming, when the Temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt.

Jesus/Yeshua answered their questions and in all the scriptures we read He says we are:

to not be worried.

In verse 6

see that ye be not troubled:

Why?

Because our Heavenly Father knows what is happening

and what the final outcome will be.

Psalm 33:10-11 tells us clearly that:

8Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.

10The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
11The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations. NKJV.

We are to look to Him, Who is the author and finisher of our faith and not to the arm of the flesh.

What does this mean for us?

It means, is He really first place in our lives?

Here in Lamentations 4 there is a great example for us.

Lamentations 4:17

New King James Version
Still our eyes failed us, Watching vainly for our help; In our watching we watched For a nation that could not save us.

Amplified Bible
[And as for us,] yet our eyes failed, Looking in vain for help. Watching [from the towers] we watched For a nation that could not save.

NAS: our eyes failed, [Looking] for help
KJV: As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain
INT: while failed our eyes to

New King James Version
Still our eyes failed us, Watching vainly for our help; In our watching we watched For a nation that could not save us.

Amplified Bible
[And as for us,] yet our eyes failed, Looking in vain for help. Watching [from the towers] we watched For a nation that could not save.

The Assyrians were ready to march on Judah and instead of turning to God for help, they, Judah, looked to the nation of Egypt to help and deliver them, yet Egypt had their own problems and would not come to help Judah. The people placed their hope of salvation in the arm of the flesh instead of the arm of the Lord.

The words..

our eyes yet failed for our help in watching…

is a sad state of affairs giving a picture of their situation.

We could say it in today’s vernacular as: our eyes have become worn out, or tired and exhausted watching for the help that never arrived.

This is reflected in our nations today.

Here in Lamentations, it is clear in what and in whom the hearts of the people were trusting; and the condition of their hearts was obvious by their behavior. We could say it’s the fruit ..it’s what is obvious for all to see.

Another Hebrew word for failed is kalah

which has the idea of:

becoming exhausted after putting

every part of your being into something.

Kalah is like waiting for that phone call that never comes, or the letter that never arrives; today it could be the unreceived text or email that would indicate our release from a stressful situation. Both Joseph and Daniel had to wait….

It’s easy to understand that both in and relying on our own strength, we would soon be complete, at an end, finished, accomplished, or spent or exhausted.

The people of Judah were unable to trust in the God they could not see. Their faith was not in His promises and the supernatural assistance He would provide.

They chose instead to trust in the strength of Egypt to help them.

In scripture, Egypt is a type of the world and its’ systems. They put their faith in the physical/tangible help that they could see and they believed that Egypts’ physical strength would save them; and yet it did not;

it failed- kalah –them.

It is the same today, for many who call themselves Christians by name, yet only pay lip service to our Heavenly Father. This is often because they do not have a personal relationship with Him; and although they say they have faith, and trust in God, when a crisis hits, they will look for an Egypt to trust in first, one that they can see to help them.

As examples, this can be in the form of people and government aid and help.

Jesus/Yeshua said of them: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.  Matthew 15:8.

We must heed the warning of those who have gone before us, that if the help/deliverance is not our Fathers’ planned way of escape, then doing it our way using the arm of the flesh, it will fail.

There is a well known old song whose lyrics say:

“stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone, the arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own”.

Yes, the arm of flesh will fail you.

Why?

Because as humans, we are fickle, weak, and self-serving. We have a natural tendency to look out for our own interests. It’s not that our Heavenly Father cannot or will not use people and institutions to aid us; rather it’s who we turn to and trust in first. This is clear in His Word and even warns us there is a curse for trusting in man!

Amplified Bible
Thus says the LORD, “Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind, Making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength, And whose mind and heart turn away from the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:5 Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Thus says LORD JEHOVAH: “Cursed is the man who trusts a son of man and will make a son of flesh his arm, and from LORD JEHOVAH his heart will turn away Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and will lean his arm of flesh upon him, while his heart departs from the Lord

New King James Version
Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD.

2 Chronicles 32:8
With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” So the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Psalm 118:8
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
Psalm 146:3
Put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save.

Isaiah 2:22
Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
Isaiah 20:5
Those who made Cush their hope and Egypt their boast will be dismayed and ashamed.
Isaiah 30:1
“Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the LORD, “to those who carry out a plan that is not Mine, who form an alliance, but against My will, heaping up sin upon sin.

The words: in vain…

Amplified Bible
[And as for us,] yet our eyes failed,

Looking in vain for help.

– indicates: without any answer –

The word vain comes from vanity, which we associate with pride.

Proverbs 16:18 warns us that

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

First pride, then the crash –

the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.

Trusting in the arm of flesh

is simply

trusting in human natural strength.

There is so much arm of the flesh available today, in the various arms of government which offer support; that people don’t need faith in God, and many simply feel entitled to all the governments so named ‘free’ handouts. These are not free as they are only available from the population who pay taxes on their earnings.

The scripture says we are to:

trust in the Lord.

WHY?

because this world and it systems have an expiration date.

Who and what do we look to for help in a crisis?

To whom do we turn first?

Whose name is the first one on our lips?

Of course we are to help each other, but as David said:

I look to the hills whence cometh my help?

and David qualified it precisely:

My help comes from the Lord which made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:1-2

With all the negative news swirling around us and the uncertainties of what may happen next we are

not to be alarmed.

Don’t be troubled family.

He knows all these things are happening and is allowing them to proceed in order for all things to be fulfilled, according to His prophetic word.

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Our Heavenly Father is in control, no one or anything else is, whatever they may believe or tell us. The battle is spiritual first and we see the outworking in the natural realm.

But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31

Nothing happens without our Fathers’ acknowledgment and agreement, it’s all in His prophetic timing.

As Yeshua/Jesus said, you could have arrested Me anytime but this is the hour given to you according to Gods plan.

When Jesus was arrested, He said to them, This is your hour—when darkness reigns”. Luke 22:53.

Every day of Me being with you in the temple, you did not stretch out the hands against Me; but this is your hour, and the power of the darkness.”

Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw? 53 Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a handon Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.” 54Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
I was with you every day in The Temple and you did not stretch forth your hands against me, but this is your hour and of the Prince of Darkness.”

The reason is clear, the darkness is given its’ allocated hour/time..but only for a short season as our Heavenly Father allows.

Amplified Bible
The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked [according to their role] for the day of evil.

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:

see that ye be not troubled:

for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

This has happened all throughout the church age, the age of grace, and is not the only signs of the end. However, with a search you’ll see many rumors in news articles that line up with the rest of the verses.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Pestilence can mean any plague/virus or natural disaster that disrupts normal life or way of living.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows (birth pains).

verses 7-8 are specific signs of the second coming, and they are similar to birth pains as they increase in intensity and frequency.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Nothing is a surprise or shock to Him.

This is why we are to

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Hope in LORD JEHOVAH from your whole heart and do not trust upon the wisdom of your soul.

Amplified Bible
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

New King James Version
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

Keep our eyes on the Lord keep our hearts open to our Heavenly Father as He leads and directs us and keep our words in line with His. Don’t focus on the negative things that fight our faith, but on those things that increase and sustain it which are listed in Phil. 4:8.

Not only on what but more importantly WHO

is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise, we are to think on things that are of excellence. We are to think of our loving Heavenly Father, our Savior Who is full of mercy and truth, He is worth thinking and meditating on continuously. This faith this trust, of an absolute certainty, will never fail – kalah us.

Joshua 21:45 Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel had failed; everything was fulfilled.

and Joshua 23:14 And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the LORD your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.

Romans 9:6 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them proceeds the human descent of Christ, who is God over all, forever worthy of praise! Amen. 6 It is not as though God’s word has failed.

Amplified Bible
However, it is not as though God’s word has failed [coming to nothing].

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?

It’s time to rise up, by forging deep roots in Him, for He is our strength and our salvation.

We are to build inner faith 1Samuel 17:36 strong in the inner man. He builds us up from the inside out where no one but Himself can see the progress. It is a pattern, a blueprint, used over and over in all His courageous Saints, who became great warriors and who won great victories.

Are we daily building inner faith?

David is one we easily recall. As a youth he was given charge over his fathers’ sheep, tending the flock making sure they were fed, watered; and protected from predators and enemies that would harm them and seek to kill, steal and destroy.

He killed the lion and the bear. Developing great courage and tactics of a fight that proved victorious; then when the giant Goliath challenged, he moved unflinchingly to confront this uncircumcised Philistine.

That which had been tested and tried when he was alone and no one had witnessed but God; became very evident to everyone present, in this moment of national crisis. It was said David was, above his fellows, and it was in this area of faith in his God; and the courage developed through experience, that his God would be his strength and work victory for him. Secret training through tests and trials, developed the secret faith, which had its’ moments of open revelation. It is our Heavenly Fathers’ Way. We are to build faith from the lesser challenges and it will be the measure of our deliverance and victory in the times of need.

During the greatest tragedies, David’s character, obedience and willingness to be a servant was proved; and he was given charge over his Heavenly Father’s flock, to guide guard and govern. To tend them and make sure they were fed, watered and protected from enemies who would steal, kill and destroy.

Our Heavenly Father tests before He entrusts. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by His Word and is also built up through our times of greatest need for the critical reason: to show us where help truly comes from….Not from the hills, but from God.

Is He really first place?

Trusting in the arm of flesh = kalah/failure

In the uncertain days we find ourselves living, when we are hearing of wars and rumors of wars

always remember that He said…

Do not be alarmed or let your heart be troubled…

…because He also said..

In Him there is NO failure..

No kalah..

NO disappointment..

and He will never deceive, grow tired or exhausted.

His eyes are always on us and will

NEVER FAIL…

so LOOK UP and

Trust in the Lord!

Shalom shalom mishpachah/family

and cheverim/friends!

You are loved, appreciated and prayed for

… and…

it’s all about Life and Relationship,

NOT Religion.

You are precious in His sight.

NOT SURE?

YOU CAN BE..

SAY THE FOLLOWING FROM YOUR HEART RIGHT NOW…

Heavenly Father I come to you in the Name of Jesus/Yeshua asking for forgiveness of my sins for which I am truly sorry. I repent of them all and turn away from my past.

I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus/Yeshua is your Son and that He died on the cross at calvary to pay the price for my sin, so that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven. Father I believe that Jesus/Yeshua rose from the dead and I ask you to come into my life right now and be my personal Savior and Lord and I will worship you all the days of my life. Because your word is truth I say that I am now forgiven and born again and by faith I am washed clean with the blood of Jesus/Yeshua. Thank you that you have accepted me into your family in Jesus’/Yeshua’s name. Amen.

Why Was Elisha Digging Ditches To The Sound of Music?

The background to the story is that of King Jehoshaphat of Judah, a relatively good, God-fearing King, but he made a critical mistake by making an alliance with the wicked son of Ahab, Jehoram.

2Kings 3:5-24

But after Ahab died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel. 6 So at that time King Joram….7 sent this message to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?”

Israel was at war with the Moabites but their king had led them in a roundabout route for 7 days, leaving them with no water and dwindling hope.

Kings 3:9-26, 9 “So the king of Israel went with the king of Judah and the king of Edom, and they marched on that roundabout route seven days; and there was no water for the army, nor for the animals that followed them. 10 And the king of Israel said, “Alas!

King Jehoshaphat

המלך יהושפט

Yehoshaphat.

Phonetic Spelling: (yeh-ho-shaw-fawt’)

Definition: the LORD has judged or

Yah Hath Judged/Yahweh Has Judged/The Lord Judges.

The name Jehoshaphat consists of two elements:

1) The name יה(Yah) = יהו(Yahu) = יו(Yu), which in turn are abbreviated forms of the Tetragrammaton; the name of the Lord: YHWH.

2) The verb שפט (shapat), meaning to judge or govern:

King Jehoshaphat plan was to try to take over the land of Moab…but as we know, the end doesn’t justify the means.  The plan backfired on him and he found himself with thousands of soldiers and animals and no water.

God never wants us to align ourselves in a common goal with wickedness, those not walking in covenant relationship with Him.

Both old and new testaments remind us

32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.  Exodus 23:32-33

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Cor. 6:14

Jehoshaphat had not done right in terms of separating himself from unbelievers, and it ended up costing his people because now their very lives were in danger.

Having commanded some 40,000 men to march 7 days over a hot desert with minimal food and water.

When his options had run out, he finally decides to go to the man of God for counseling; this should have been his first action along with seeking the Lord for His direction. He realized he needed to separate from them, and yet there is no water…

What was the answer to his dilemma?

“Let’s consult ELISHA, a prophet and a man of God to inquire of him. He knows about water. He poured water on the hands of Elijah.”

And Jehoshaphat said, Whether any prophet of the Lord is here, (so) that we (can) beseech the Lord by him? And one of the servants of the king of Israel answered, Elisha, the son of Shaphat, is here, that poured water upon the hands of Elijah (Elisha, the son of Shaphat, is here, who poured water upon Elijah’s hands). 2Kings 3:11

Elisha

  אלישע

Modern: ʼElīšaʻ,  My God is salvation or

God is salvation

Greek: Ἐλισ[σ]αῖος, Elis[s]aîos or Ἐλισαιέ, Elisaié)

So they did, however, the answer was probably not what they were expecting because…..

Sometimes He asks us to be a part of His solutions….

and sometimes in rather strange and unusual ways.

Elisha says:

2Kings 3:15-17

15 But now bring me a musician.”. Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. 16 And he said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Make this valley full of [ a]ditches.’ 17 For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’.

This word “valley” in the Hebrew is

ואדי

wadi“,

which is a “dry riverbed

Now bring me a minstrel/musician…  One that can sing and play well upon an instrument of music.

He sent for a minstrel, possibly to calm his mind from the impressions of the physical problem and having been disturbed at the sight of idolatrous Jehoram,

the soft tones of the lyre/harp brought composure to his mind and soul so that he might be inspired to more fervent prayer, and thereby be prepared to receive the prophetic inspiration.

When the musician played, the hand of the Lord came on him and his spirit gave instructions to work the miracle.

2 Kings 3:16-18
“This is what the Lord says: I will fill this valley with pools of water. For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord; he will also deliver Moab into your hands.“

God lays it on Elisha’s heart what

He,

the Lord,

will do to rescue them:

All they have to do is dig some ditches!

Why?

It sounds completely crazy!

So Why?   ….

Because God said to.

Even though He said in v. 17 there won’t be storms or rain!

…but

there’ll be water…

God has spoken.

Dig ditches…..

תְעָלָה

ditch, channel, canal, gutter, culvert, water course

They needed

to act

on their faith,

regardless of how illogical it sounded!

Imagine what passers-by must have thought….

an army digging ditches???

Digging a valley full of ditches,

for water,

to win a battle with no sign of rain!

He didn’t need human logic,

no rain was required,

no river,

just

His power and

simple faith, trusting in Him.

if He says it, He does it!

From the irrational display of desperation to the next morning

….they find that…

Water has flowed uphill and across this ancient plain

that was once a stream bed.

In verse 20, the valley is full of water for the troops

Then a further miracle happens:

the Moabites mistake the water for blood and through this they are defeated.

Nothing is impossible for God, and He achieves it through

His plans,

no matter how illogical and unexplainable they are to us.

He even provides in abundance,

far more than we would expect, for them

AND their animals.

But they had to trust God,

His plan

and what He asked them to do.

So should we.

We think often that God will give us faith to change or to persevere and stand until the situation changes.

However, true faith comes when we walk into the valley,  often situations that are opposite to mountain top experiences; and instead of trying to fill the valley, we instead dig until they are filled with ditches.

The Lord requires places/ containers for His waters to collect, so that it won’t run off and dissipate into another stream.

He wants to fill our valleys.

biqah: a valley, plain

 בִּקְעָה

Phonetic Spelling: bik-aw’

Strongs#1237

Not only so we can drink, but to have enough for everyone around us who needs it, including crops and animals/ livestock.

Faith is not looking up and seeing rain clouds and seeing the rain fall.

Faith is looking at a clear sky

but being full of expectancy

that the valley will be filled.

You will not see wind nor rain.

He wants us to do things like, dig ditches, with the promise to fill them and in unexpected unconventional ways.

He wants a faith filled people.

He is looking for people who don’t need rain in order to have rainfall!

Faith people who will dig ditches to collect water that never falls from the sky!!!

People who will believe

He will bring water

in His own way and time

all we have to do is act in obedient response,

that is faith!

The ‘ridiculous’ faith of Elisha!

We must sometimes dig a ditch so God can fill it!

That is a clear lesson from this scripture account.

Our Heavenly Father specializes in

FILLING

things

which are

EMPTY.

We are to empty ourselves of the cares of this world, and that makes room for God to fill us!

As we remember, the cares of the world choke the Word of God.

When we empty ourselves of the flesh

and then the Spirit comes flowing in like a rushing river,

filling the valley of our souls!

Our Heavenly Father gets all the glory when He uses our provision of emptiness to fulfill His will in and through us in overflowing ways!

His OUTPOURING into our need!

In the following chapter we see the familiar story of the widow and her empty vessels which God filled for her.  Elisha, who challenged the widow woman to create more emptiness for the Lord to fill, had just seen it happen himself as he dug ditches so God could fill them.

        Have faith…trust…

lay aside all self-sufficiency,

and instead,

find some emptiness!

The widow of 2Kings 4 brought all the jars she had faith to bring!

How many would we bring?

Sometimes we are called to create some emptiness so God can fill it.

        … Dig a ditch,

or God won’t fill it!

A mind occupied with planning

pays homage to the idol of control.

Planning takes little to no faith because it is fore-thought and carefully and deliberately arranged and what is worse, it leaves God completely out of the picture and then we ask Him to bless our way.

Many spend all week planning the weekend, thinking it is Gods’ will when in fact it is just simply what they want to do.

One of the greatest hindrances to living a faith filled life is not making room for God.

In this account, Elisha shows how faith works.

It is echoed in Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Now faith is a well-grounded assurance of that for which we hope, and a conviction of the reality of things which we do not see.

The principle here is

putting

faith

into

action.

Don’t just say you have faith!

Show it by our actions

James said in 2:17…

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” shew me thy faith without thy works/actions, and I will shew thee my faith by my works/actions.

Fulfillment comes in emptiness of self, and being filled with the Spirit maybe its time to dig some ditches???

May His true Shalom/Peace

rest upon each one in Jesus/Yeshuas’ Name.

you are greatly loved and prayed for daily..

NOT SURE if you are part of His Family? YOU CAN BE..

Say the following and mean it from your heart…

Heavenly Father I come to you in the Name of Jesus/Yeshua asking for forgiveness of my sins for which I am truly sorry. I repent of them all and turn away from my past.

I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus/Yeshua is your Son and that He came in the flesh and He died on the cross at calvary to pay the price for my sin, so that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven. Father I believe that Jesus/Yeshua rose from the dead and I ask you to come into my life right now and be my personal Savior and Lord and I will worship you all the days of my life.

Because your word is truth, I say that I am now forgiven and born again in my spirit and by faith I am washed clean with the Blood of Jesus/Yeshua. Thank you that you have accepted me into your family in Jesus’/Yeshua’s name. Amen.

Let Our Hearts Be Fixed

Shalom Shalom Family…

almost finished part 3 following on from last week..

however, it seems our Heavenly Father has some more encouragement for us today; and being impressed while praying/preparing that He wanted these words to go forth and to settle our hearts and minds in Him.

Be comforted in the knowledge that

He knows who and where you are…

So in obedience to His loving request,

family,

friends,

visitors and

whosoever finds themselves on this page

please…

Let not your heart be troubled

John 14 1-6 27

His Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit has instructions for

the person who hears bad news.

A good man shows favor, and he lends:

he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever:

the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:

his heart is FIXED,

trusting in the LORD

(Psalm 112:5-7).

We do indeed seem to be living in days of evil tidings!!

These are days of disclosure, demonstration and decrees which are determined by our Lord and are for our final deliverance.. so be determined and disciplined daily for we may soon hear things we never dreamed we would…don’t be moved off the ROCK of our salvation and stay under the Blood of the Lamb.

 We are to be

FIXED

and unable to be moved from the rock of our salvation. Test all things by the TRUTH of HIs Word….

Psalm 112 –

Praise the LORD.

Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.

Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

This life is a

test

but more than that

it is the real thing!

There is NO RESET button,

it is the only life we get

So we could say…

This is not a drill!

Life is summed up in

Ecc. 12:13

13 Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.

The Fear of God is Utmost … (reverent respect the true awe!)

12 And by these, my son, be further warned: There is no end to the making of many books, and much study wearies the body.

13 When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: Fear God and keep His commandments, because this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, along with every hidden thing, whether good or evil.…

Let him who has ears to hear

is in both

Mark 4:23 and Rev.3:22

We serve a great and mighty God, the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ/Yeshua HaMasiach

Listen to the great voice of our Heavenly Father…

in

Psalm 29:3-9.

To Him who rides upon the highest heavens,

which are from ancient times;

Behold, He speaks forth with His voice, a mighty voice.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters;

The God of glory thunders,

The Lord is over many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful,

The voice of the Lord is majestic.

There is a battle in the heavens which has been in progress for a long, long time; and whatever is transpiring in the heavens is outworking in the natural earthly realm and this is worldwide.

Ephesians tells us clearly what is happening and it behooves us to pay attention.

There is a war under way and prayer is the weapon of our warfare.

The words of scripture coming out of our mouth as the sword of His Spirit is what we are called to do.

The Lord gave us a spirit of Love, power and a sound mind.

2Tim.1:7

Be ready, be prepared, gird your loins, take your place and having done all stand in Jesus/Yeshua’s name.

Be FIXED… that is: be not moved by anything our 5 senses tell us in the physical realm..Instead,

trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.

Trust in our Father and believe also in Me said Yeshua.

Above all do not be anxious or troubled in your mind when we hear of evil tidings.

Our Father is in control and all things are purposed for our ultimate deliverance and salvation.

Keep your armor in place

stay under the Blood of Jesus/Yeshua

standing in the secret place of the Most High

under the shadow of His wings..

Psalm 91 is pertinent as with the last post….

In any emergency we are to cry out to our Father, look to Him always and in all circumstances.

He loves each and every one of you and

will not lose one

that that the Father has given into His hands.

Yeshua/Jesus says to us…

John 6:39

And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything that he has given me, but should raise it to life on the last day.

He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and we are His children lets trust in Him becoming as a little child.

Have no fear nor be anxious Our Father sees it all…

Everything is in His hands and

He has already been in our tomorrow

because

He is the same

yesterday

today

and forever.

Galatians 5:1

You are greatly loved and precious in His sight.

Its all about Life and Relationship, not Religion.

Time To Trust in His Chariots of Fire!

While preparing the main meal for this week our Avinu/Fathers Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit, prompted this brief posting for today.

We are all living in very uncertain times and unprecedented events are occurring around us all over the world. Many times we do not hear of all the things that are happening to our brothers and sisters and what Father is overseeing behind the scenes.

We often struggle to live as spiritual beings in this physical universe.

We really have a hard time accepting that this scene in front of our eyes is merely a shadow of things

and

the unseen is our true reality.

It is understandable that we find it difficult to ignore that which is reasonable and logical to our minds.

It means that we have to accept as truth that which our physical senses cannot detect …

however, now we are in Messiah we have the ability to see in the spirit that which is unseeable with our natural eyes.

We need to have faith that Adonai can be trusted implicitly even when there is no physical evidence that He is able to do what He says…and especially when the situation appears impossible… this indeed is a Red Sea moment.

Referring once more to the title He gave for this post…

Time To Trust in His Chariots of Fire!

…there is not another place in the Scriptures where this truth is more clearly revealed.

This tiny glimpse into a moment in Elisha’s life reveals an enormous truth. Yes we are too many times just like Elishas servant because we have difficulty seeing that all around us is the invisible army of God.

We must come to an understanding that regardless of what we see with eyes, the reality of our walk with Yeshua/Jesus is summed up in this……

FEAR NOT

for more are they who are with us

that they who are with them….

We are not supposed to run and hide when the enemy comes against us.

For the Lord will raise up a standard against him if we stay in the place of trust and faith.

His word will not return void Will accomplish what he sends it forth to do.

We often focus on the negative spiritual forces around us and forget that there are twice as many positive spiritual forces in the form of angelic hosts!!

The reality is that We are surrounded by an army always prepared to fight in our defense!

The enemy already knows that God’s Warriors are there and that the only thing he can do is try to make us believe otherwise.

We have to resist these lying whispers and the scripture says he will flee from us as we submit ourselves to Him. James 4:7

Avinu/Father in the name of Yeshua/Jesus You are the King and Lord of all Creation, the Leader of the army of heavens hosts; thank you that you have surrounded us and will protect us from all our enemies. Teach us to stand firm without fear and open our eyes as you did with Gehazi so we may see the mountain covered with horses and chariots of fire.

Help us to see your reality with 2020 vision that we may not trust in what we perceive but what is invisible to our eyes. You are our deliverer, redeemer and our faith and trust is in You, we praise and worship you Father in the precious name of Yeshua/Jesus.

Below are links to Psalms to encourage and comfort.

Psalm 30:4-5 KJVS Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. [5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Lets remember to pray and intercede for those in dire circumstances. For example a report a little over 12 hours ago:

There are 200 million in Pakistan without power as Pakistan’s national power grid has failed, leaving almost the entire country in the dark.

“A countrywide blackout has been caused by a sudden plunge in the frequency in the power transmission system,” Pakistani power minister Omar Ayub Khan wrote on Twitter, shortly after the country was plunged into darkness before midnight on Saturday.

This can happen anywhere… at any time…. so

In the event we lose all communications, which would include the internet, remember to stay

in faith

not fear and…

Abba/Avinu/Father, Precious and Holy Are You! We rise and bring our hearts, minds and souls in union with Your Holy Presence here with us. Abba/Avinu/Father, we sing of Your Glory and we lift up Your Holy Name on High! You are our Beloved Father, and we thank You for fresh starts and new beginnings by Your Amazing Grace! Thank You for loving us the way You Do. We worship and adore You!

In Your love, grant to us Your wisdom and patience and protect us all from evil and those intent on doing us harm because of our faith and witness to the truth in Messiah. Bless the hands of those who serve and guard their steps as they carry the message of Salvation to those who are perishing; and send your angels/messengers to watch over all your children..

Abba/Avinu/Father, we plead the Blood of Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ over each one here in this Family Mishpachah

משפחה

help us to know who our enemies are and to pray for them and to bless them as Yeshu/Jesus Blessed His enemies; pour out Your Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh upon each one of us and keep us in unity, in one accord and in peaceful union through Yeshua/Jesus. Abba/Avin/Father, give us Your courage to stand fast in our faith and the strength to endure what we must for the sake of the Gospel; all for Your Glory and Praise.

Abba/Avinu/Father, we thank You for this Shalom/Peace in Yeshua/Jesus as we study Your Holy Word and rest in the knowledge that You are in control of the universe You created, overseeing every detail.

Thank You for hearing our prayers and for always answering us according to Your Perfect Will; knowing what is best for us. Not our Will but, Your Will be done!

These prayers are lifted to You in the Holy and Mighty Name of Yahusha Ha’Maschiach, Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Amen and Amen.

Avinu, our Heavenly Father is in control! Shalom family and remember you are greatly loved and prayed for daily and His will be done, His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

All being well the next post will be uploaded as soon as it is completed.

It is surely time to trust in His chariots of Fire.

Keep your eyes on Yeshua/Jesus!

Shalom …always…
