Coming Out Of Egypt?

Egypt we know is a type of the world, and all the systems and kingdoms of this world belong to the adversary. We know this because in Luke 4:6 The Devil said to Him, I will give You their splendor and all this authority, because it has been given over to me, and I can give it to anyone I want.

And Yeshua/Jesus did not argue with him and later in John 18:36 Yeshua/Jesus said to him, My Kingdom is not from this world; if my Kingdom were of this world, my servants would be fighting that I would not have been delivered up to the Judeans

In 2Corinthians 6:17

we are told:

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

Do we still have a foothold in both kingdoms?

Are we trying to straddle both at the same time?

What the Hebrew nation were required to do was to leave Egypt behind. The ways of the world were in them and the Egyptian gods had become their gods.

Their culture had become entwined with theirs and developed root systems that were influencing their whole way of life and belief system.

They had been slaves for so long many had forgotten the reason their ancestors had moved to Egypt in the first place. In light of todays world systems and cultures, have we as Messianic believers truly come out of Egypt?

Are we truly delivered from bondage?

After their physical deliverance from Egypt, in order to get Egyptian culture, and the unclean spirits that were behind their culture, out of the Israelites they had to walk away from the source and leave it all behind them.

These desires came from the unclean spirits and were attached to their flesh and to their mindsets. Their flesh screamed when God gave Moses the new instructions and boundaries for living a life based on His ways, clean, holy and set apart to Him. Doesn’t our carnal nature sometimes do the same? Their flesh cried out for what they had left behind!

We are told they longed for the melons, garlic, cucumber and fish.

Meanwhile, the rabble among them had a strong craving for other food, and again the Israelites wept and said, Who will feed us meat? We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; Numbers 11:4,5

As we have been looking at the days of Noah, Lot and the end times; recall Lot’s wife who turned back; looking longingly at what she had left behind……….. this is dangerous and can be deadly for believers.

Luke 9:62 records words that were spoken by Yeshua/Jesus, No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.

Jesus/Yeshua was careful to explain that those who considered becoming His disciples would be well advised to first count the cost.  (Lk 4:28) Because there was no going back once one stepped onto His path, and that it was better to have not begun the journey at all rather than to start and then give up.

These were strange examples in Numbers 11 and some scholars have noted that they were more likely references to the freedom of sexual perversions they had enjoyed in the Egyptian culture. It was very much like today, extremely liberal with an ‘anything goes’ mentality, the same as was prevalent in the city of Sodom.

The new instructions were restrictive to their life and behavior, and for the mixed multitude who left Egypt with the Hebrews, it was too narrow and strict; and their appetites and desires lusted after the old ways of promiscuous freedom. Many of the mixed multitude were no doubt those who murmured, complained and influenced others to be discontented. Numbers 11:4-6. The mixed multitude were not of the family of Isaac and Jacob/Israel.

There are many words in Hebrew for lusting.

One is

to have inordinate affection

and another is

Strong’s Hebrew: 185. אַוַּת (avvah) — desire

and comes from the root word Avah, which means lusting after bodily desires, not just food but sexual desires as well; and in this case it was more than likely a reference to forbidden sexual relationships. Sexual vices were acceptable for Egyptians but not under Moses.

Lusting – ה,תאוו

Numbers 11:4-6: And the mixed multitude that [was] among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again,

Numbers 11:4
HEB: אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ הִתְאַוּ֖וּ תַּאֲוָ֑ה וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ
NAS: were among them had greedy
KJV: that [was] among them fell a lusting: and the children
INT: who were among had greedy again

Strongs 183 avah: to incline, desire, covet, greatly desire, be desirous, long, lust after.

Original Word: אָוָה
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: avah
Phonetic Spelling: (aw-vaw’)
Definition: to incline, desire

In verse 6 it reads, there is nothing at all,

in Hebrew; Eyn kel bilethi.

Literally means: without any responsibility or law.

This promiscuous freedom and perversion leads to jealousy hatred, extreme selfishness, abuse, crime, and a total disregard for other people. It is the single-most destructive force to the family unit, which is why our Heavenly Father dealt so harshly with these foreigners, because potentially they would destroy the sanctity of the families among the children of Israel. When individuals get pleasure from material things it is mostly by comparing what they have to what their neighbors have. So although they could enjoy every taste they wanted in the manna which was provided, they gained no pleasure from it because everyone had exactly the same.

Today many countries of the world have lifted off all restrictions in lifestyles, to what was once frowned upon and illegal; and not even thought of in Christian circles, let alone allowed.

Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

Leviticus 17:7  And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.’

They must no longer offer any of their sacrifices to the goat idols[a] to whom they prostitute themselves. This is to be a lasting ordinance for them and for the generations to come.

The word in 17:7 is se’irm – goat idols,

which many Hebrew scholars identify with the

Egyptian goat deities.

The Egyptians did not make a distinction between lamb, sheep and goats and they were very similar in appearance. Sheep, rams and goats were worshipped in association with the gods/unclean spirits/demonic entities, named banebedjedet and knhum. The words for ram and soul sound the same in the Egyptian language and because of this, the ram or sheep deities were at times believed to be the appearance of other gods. Scholars say that these two previously mentioned entities, were the earliest known Egyptian deities and were originally the gods of the source of the Nile river.

The annual flooding of the Nile brought with it silt and clay. It was believed the sheep/ goat gods created the bodies of human children from this silt and clay; which was then placed in the mothers wombs. This may help us to understand why Pharaohs daughter was fascinated by the child, (Moses), she found floating down the river Nile as she would have considered it a direct gift from the god knhum.

It is believed she was bathing in the Nile at the time for ceremonial purposes in hopes to bring about a pregnancy. This association gives insight into the killing of the firstborn among the Hebrews and the final plague of the death of the firstborn of the Egyptians.

It was also significant in the placement of the Passover lamb, which to the Egyptians was a picture of the god khumn. When the Hebrews took a lamb, the Egyptian deity, into their home for 4 days with the intention of slaughtering and eating it; it would have caused a significantly bad reaction, angering the Egyptians who would have seen this act as a total disrespect of one of their important gods. Furthermore to actually kill one of their gods and use its blood to protect the Hebrews from the last plague of the death of the 1st born was the final insult to Pharaoh who was considered a direct descendant of the gods.

Leviticus 17:8 warns the children of Israel to keep from sacrificing to the se’irm or the goat/sheep god.

They must no longer offer any of their sacrifices to the goat idols[a] to whom they prostitute themselves.

The wilderness was believed to be the home of field demons and unclean spirits associated with the goat and sheep. The god pan is pictured as a goat demon, half man half goat, who would play a flute and dance among the sheep. The wilderness home of these field demons/spirits was regarded as the place where such diseases as leprosy had their roots. In Leviticus 14:7. In an act of religious blending of more than one religious belief into a new system, birds would be offered to these sheep/goat gods as an act of atonement. The soul of the bird would be released to carry the disease back to the desert. While worshipping and serving the One True God, Creator of the Universe, many Hebrews were also justifying a service to pagan gods just to ensure some extra protection against diseases.

Is there a possible connection to what the Apostles were addressing in Acts 14:15.?

and saying, Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them,

Does Acts 14:15 seem to reflect this ‘religious combining’, which was well established in the first century, and was condemned by the Apostles? Some Jews had formed their own interpretations of their Hebraic laws which would allow them to seek favors from pagan gods, while at the same time serving the One true living God. It seemed they had created ‘loopholes in the laws’ to accommodate their pagan worship, exceptions to the rule so to speak. It seems shocking, however, we should not be too quick to condemn them seeing as popular sports events and modern special traditional holidays have been known to dictate whether meetings/services are postponed or even cancelled because they were scheduled at the same time!

Genesis 35:2-5 turn aside from the gods of the foreigner which are in your midst cleanse yourselves and change your garments and then we will rise..

We need to come completely out of Egypt … out from among them and all their traditions and worldliness and be not partakers of their ways.

2John 1:11 and  Ephesians 5:7

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.

8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

A final warning from Messiah is in Revelation 18:4 KJV: And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

This is important for believers in Messiah Jesus/Yeshua if we do not want to experience the plagues described in this book to come upon us. The questions we must ask ourselves are:

Have we truly and fully come out of Egypt/the world or do we still have one foot in it?

Do we still have any idols in our lives that take precedence over our Heavenly father that we need to cast down?

Shalom aleikhem

chaverim and mishpachah!

Peace to friends and family.

Shavua Tov, Have a blessed week.

Make certain Messiah Jesus/Yeshua is your Redeemer, Savior, Lord and soon returning King and that you have a personal relationship with Him.

It’s all about Life and Relationship, NOT Religion.

You are very precious in His sight.

Not sure ..you can be…

SIMPLY SAY THE FOLLOWING MEANING IT FROM YOUR HEART..don’t delay one more minute,

SAY IT RIGHT NOW…

Heavenly Father I come to you in the Name of Jesus/Yeshua asking for forgiveness of my sins for which I am truly sorry. I repent of them all and turn away from my past.

I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus/Yeshua is your Son and that He died on the cross at calvary to pay the price for my sin, so that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven. Father I believe that Jesus/Yeshua rose from the dead and I ask you to come into my life right now and be my personal Savior and Lord and I will worship you all the days of my life. Because your word is truth I say that I am now forgiven and born again and by faith I am washed clean with the blood of Jesus/Yeshua. Thank you that you have accepted me into your family in Jesus’/Yeshua’s name.

Who Was Tsofnat Paneach?

Who was Tsofnat Paneach

פַּעְנֵחַ צָפְנַת

and how is this person linked to Messiah?

It has been said that there are no secrets or mysteries in the Bible and yet Jesus/Yeshua Himself declared as recorded in

Mark 4:11. And he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:

In Matthew 13:11: To you, who have, it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven – The deep things which flesh and blood cannot reveal, pertaining to the inward, present kingdom of heaven.

Luke 8:10; And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Mark 4:11). And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

The contrast between the disciples and others, as it is written here, is that in the case of the disciples, the mysteries of the kingdom are given to be known. In that of the others, the mysteries are given, but only in parables, therefore so as to remain veiled/unknown.

This passage goes on to tell us that if we know the Parable of the Sower, we will know all parables (Mark 4:13).

(Understanding comes through the unfolding/revealing, that is, of your inward powers of perception, not merely by means of the exposition.)

We are told plainly in Yeshua’s interpretation of the Parable of the Sower that the seed is the Word of God (Luke 8:11), and this seed is sown in our hearts (Mark 4:15).

Therefore, a major key to unlocking all mysteries is…. the Word of God being deposited in the rich fertile soil of our hearts.

We should think of the Scriptures as being like a self-decoder to the mysteries and secrets of His Kingdom; containing within itself, all the answers to the questions we may have.

In Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.”

Psalm 25:14 The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

But holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 1Tim. 3:9.

A search will confirm there are some 371 instances of secret and 43 verses about mystery.

Mystery = ta’alumah (תעלומה)

1Cor. 2:6-8 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;

In Col. 1:26-27 that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

and we still speak mysteries today!

1Cor. 14:2 For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.

The word “mystery” appears twenty eight times in the New Testament,  but is not found in the Old Testament. The Greek word “musterion,” translated “mystery” did not mean something that is obscure or incomprehensible; rather it meant a truth given and revealed only to a select few that was unknown until it was revealed.

The word ‘mystery’ appears 22 times in the King James Version (KJV). It appears 26 times in the NIV so the count varies slightly depending on which translation you use.

The apostle Paul used the word mystery 21 times in his Epistles. In each case, the mystery involved a wonderful declaration of spiritual truth, revealed by God through divine inspiration.

that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Zaphnath-Paaneah

Hebrew   פַּעְנֵחַ צָפְנַת

Ṣāfnaṯ Paʿnēaḫ

Tsophnath Pa`neach

Pronounced: tsof·nath’ pah·nā’·akh

was the Egyptian name given by Pharaoh to Joseph -Yahuwseph, in Genesis 41:45

Meaning:

Decipherer or Revealer of Secrets.

gelah or gela: to reveal

strongs 1541

Original Word: גְּלָה
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: gelah or gela
Phonetic Spelling: (ghel-aw’)
Definition: to reveal

Daniel 2:47
HEB: וּמָרֵ֥א מַלְכִ֖ין וְגָלֵ֣ה רָזִ֑ין דִּ֣י
NAS: of kings and a revealer of mysteries,
KJV: of kings, and a revealer of secrets,

Targum Onkelos (1st century AD) gives the meaning of the name as:

“the man to whom mysteries are revealed”;

Targum Pseudo-Jonathan,

“one who reveals mysteries”;

Josephus (Antiquities ii.6.1, c. AD 94),

“a finder of mysteries”.

The Jewish interpretation is received in early Protestant translations: the Geneva Bible (1599):

“The expounder of secrets”,

while the Authorised Version of 1611 has in the margin: “Which in the Coptic signifies,

A revealer of secrets’,

or

The man to whom secrets are revealed.’

Others say that it is an Egyptian name (Ibn Ezra; Radak, Sherashim).

In Egyptian, Tzaphnath is:

tza-pa-neth meaning, ‘the Neth speaks’ or ‘the god speaks.’

Paaneach is pa-anakh, meaning ‘the life,’ where anach or ankh is the symbol of life. Hence the name can be translated as, ‘Lord of life,’ ‘Neth speaks life,’ or ‘The God speaks and [this man] lives.’

Scripture reveals a secret that he was no regular Joe!

Yôsēp̄    יוסף   יהוסף

The name can be translated from Hebrew יוסף יהוה Yosef YHWH

as signifying

“Yahweh/Jehovah shall increase/add”

יהוסף

Increaser – May He Add.

From the verb יסף (yasap), to add, increase, or repeat.

Joseph was Jacob’s eleventh son and Rachel’s first son, and known in the Jewish Bible as Yoseph ben-Yaakov.

Joseph was thirty years old when he appeared before King Pharaoh. When Pharaoh told him that he had heard of Joseph’s great gift as an interpreter of dreams.

The king answered Daniel and said, “Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.”

Dan 2:48 Then the king [fn] promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts, and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief [fn] prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.

Joseph modestly replied that his wisdom was not of his own making but of God’s.

Then Pharaoh related his dreams to Joseph, and Joseph knew at once that God had revealed their meaning to him.

41:45: Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Tzaphnath Paaneach. He gave him Asenath, daughter of Poti Phera, the priest of On, as a wife. Joseph thus went out to oversee Egypt.

Returning to Messiah we read in Matt. 13:11- 12.   And He replied to them, To you it has been given to know the secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Because the secrets does not mean the same as what we understand as mysteries in the English language sense; it means something like this, in paraphrase: what we can know of the kingdom of heaven, only by divine revelation, has been given for us to know, but it has not been given to them.

12 For whoever has [spiritual knowledge], to him will more be given and he will be furnished richly so that he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Amplified: He said to them, To you it has been given to [come progressively to] know (to recognize and understand more strongly and clearly) the mysteries and secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that, [though] looking, they may not see; and hearing, they may not comprehend. you might say it was a kind of punishment for their blindness as He made obscure to them things which He made clear to others.

Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Mark 4:11. And he said unto them His disciples; unto you it is given to know

the mystery of the kingdom of God;

or the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,

the secrets of the Gospel dispensation,

the mysterious doctrines of grace;

Mark 4:11. ὑμῖν, to you has been given,

so as to be a permanent possession,

the mystery of the Kingdom of God.

They have been initiated into the secret, so that for them it is a secret no longer, not by explanation of the parable (Weiss), but independently.

Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:

or the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, the secrets of the Gospel dispensation, the mysterious doctrines of grace; but unto

them that are without;

“to strangers”,

as the Syriac and Arabic versions render it, who were not the disciples of Messiah, nor admitted to any intimacy with Him; who came only to amuse themselves with the sight of His person and miracles:

all [these] things are done in parables;

are wrapped up in dark sayings, and figurative expressions, the sound of which they heard, and might well have been pleased with the similes made use of in the stories and parables, but they did not understand the spiritual meaning contained within them.

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. neither any thing hid, that shall not be made known, and come abroad;

for what had been whispered to them, in the most secret and silent manner, was to come abroad not only in Judea, but in all the world, and to be published upon the house tops;

With the emphasis on what has not been known – this means that all mysteries will be revealed.

Apocalypsed!

In Hebrew

אַפּוֹקָלִיפּסָה

apocalypse.

The word apocalypse comes from the Greek word apokalupsis.

Greek: apokalupsis – from 2 root words apo means away or to remove

Kalupsis means a veil or covering.

The removing of the veil speaks of revealing.

These are the things pertaining to the second coming – and there are many variations and explanations referring to the opening of the vision concerning the end of the present age. Believers, as His bride, are to live in that Way every day as in the time of the true bride – face to face – unveiled – there is to be nothing between or separating and nothing covered – nothing hidden before Him.

It also refers to disobedience and sinful behavior that will be exposed on judgment day and in context with

Luke 8:17 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Ps 78:2. I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, things from of old–

things hidden
חִ֝יד֗וֹת (ḥî·ḏō·wṯ)
Noun – feminine plural
Strong’s Hebrew 2420:

1) riddle, difficult question, parable, enigmatic saying or question, perplexing saying or question

1a) riddle (dark obscure utterance)

1b) riddle, enigma (to be guessed)

1c) perplexing questions (difficult)

1d) double dealing (with ‘havin’)

Strong’s Hebrew: 4565.

מִסְתָּר (mistar) — a secret place …

מִּסְתָּֽר – secret – mistar

Strong’s Hebrew: 7328.

רָזraz – a secret

The mystery preserved for us after all this time is that Messiah would in loving obedient devotion to His Heavenly Father, willingly go to His death on the cross. The servant Messiah would by doing so fulfill the Father’s plan of salvation for all those under the curse of sin.

Mystery = ta’alumah – (תעלומה)

The word Hebrew is a Hebrew word, borrowed into English from the Greek language,

that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The Mystery of God is Jesus/Yeshua

The Mystery: The word Mystery denotes:

(1st) a religious mystery like those of Eleusis, into which men were initiated;

(2nd) a secret (as in 1 Cor. 15:51); and is applied (a) to the Gospel itself (as here and in 1 Cor. 2:7Rom. 16:25Eph. 1:9); and (b) to the various parts and truths of the Gospel (Matt. 13:11Lk. 8:101 Cor. 4:1);

(3rd) to a symbolic representation or emblem as in (Rev. 17:5Rev. 17:7).

Mark 4:11. Looking at the Greek: (Ἔλεγεν, He said) With hearty good-will [with real pleasure].

ἔξω, without) – outside of the circle of genuine discipleship. [Whereas in Mark 4:10 (They that were about Him with the twelve).

γίνεται) Fall to[are done as concerns] them as parables.

Verses 11, 12. – To know the mystery. The Greek verb γνῶναι, to know, is not found in the best manuscripts, in which the words are (ὑμῖν τὸ μυστὴριον δέδοται), unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God.

Here the explanation as to why He spoke to the mixed multitude in parables; namely, because most of them were as yet incapable of receiving the gospel: some would not believe it, others reviled and rejected it.

Therefore here He encourages His own disciples to search out the words He speaks in parables, and to humbly inquire into their full meaning; so they might become able ministers and efficient preachers of the gospel.

By this He shows that this efficiency cannot be obtained by our own strength, but must be sought from God with a humble heart.

For it is His own gift which He bestows on the disciples and denies to others, whom He leaves to the blindness of their own hearts. It is as though He said, (paraphrase):

“To you, my disciples, my apostles, since you believe in me as the Messiah, it is given for you to continually have more clear revelations from Me of the Mysteries of God and of the Heavens, by this you shall increase day by day in the knowledge and love of Him.

But from the scribes and others, because they will not believe in Me as their own Messiah, God will take away even that small knowledge which they have of the Father and of His Kingdom. He will deprive them of all the special privileges which they have had up to now.”

But these words are not limited to those who were living on the earth when Messiah was here.

He says in effect that their application is to all, in every age, who come within the reach of His gospel.

“Those who come to me with a sincere heart and a simple desire to know the truth, as you are doing, to them I will reveal the mysteries of my kingdom, and I will help them onwards in the path of holiness, (set-apartness), by which they may at length attain to the heavenly kingdom. However, those who don’t have a pure desire for truth, but rather indulge their own lusts and errors, from them that little knowledge of God and Divine things will be taken away from them by degrees, and they will become altogether blind.” (Paraphrase.)

Here the Greek expression:

(ἐκείνοις δὲ τοῖς ἔξω),

but unto them that are without.

Just as there are today, in those days there were those who were without/outside the realm of spiritual things; not caring for, not understanding and not desiring spiritual truth.

He revealeth the deep secret things he knoweth what is in the darkness and the light dwelleth with Him.

He’ll share His secrets with us revealing hidden things. This lifts us out of darkness and gives us the WAY – DERECH, of understanding His TRUTH – EMET, which in turn brings LIFE- CHAIM, and freedom.

If we seek Him in His fullness and desire to know His heart, He will open Heavens Treasures and He will impart His wisdom to everyone who asks.

We His children are not ordained to be blind and lacking in comprehending His will and His ways. His will is the eternal light and the revealing. He sends His wisdom to us through His Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit. It’s sin that blinds the soul to His Truths. It was sin that brought the darkness both before Genesis 1:1 and after!

Something caused the great expanse to be in chaos without form and void! The waters were already there!

BUT His Blood of the Atonement, opens spiritual and physical eyes and makes us whole.

There are secrets and mysteries and diamonds in the rough, things that we can learn of His Providence. Not secrets like those of secret societies that are only for a select few initiates. Gods’ secrets are for whosoever will.

When outward physical circumstances seem negative to the natural eye; we need to look deeper; for this is Gods’ secret. By not looking only at the exterior but with the eye of faith, we will see the hidden deeper meaning within.

The view of the wilderness – Mishkan is a perfect example.

The inner shekinah glory is hidden and obscured to those who don’t bother to seek Him. Nothing on its exterior appearance gave any indication of the unfathomable glory contained within.

These 50 days between the Feasts, are designated as a time of introspection, repentance and preparation; making ourselves ready for His coming, the outpouring of Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh.

The infilling of His power for us to become His witnesses. The Appointed Times/Feasts of the Lord, were part of the annual cycle of Adonai’s Plan of redemption and kept by the Israelites as part of their normal lifestyle.

So why are these Appointed Times important to us?

Here are some things to consider.

If we are the grafted in believers that we say we are; then, as part of the Olive Tree/ spiritual Israel, what affects Israel and what is important to them should also be important to us. We cannot be joined to them in one way and not in others and it’s not for us to pick and choose which bits we want or not.

An understanding of the meaning behind their observances gives a clear picture of Messiah and how it all fits together.

In Deut.16:10-11 and Leviticus 23:15-21, God commands the Israelites to count 50 days from Passover/Pesach to Pentecost/Shavuot. (Another name for Shavuot is Feast of Weeks). This 50 day count is known as “the counting of the Omer.”  An omer is a biblical measure of grain.

On the second day of Passover, an omer of barley was offered in the temple signaling the start of the harvest and the beginning of the 50 day count to Shavuot. This is because it’s a commandment of the Lord/Adonai, to always remember the appointed times that He set into the calendar at the time He made His first covenant with the children of Israel. And because this was an annual rehearsal for them, which they would pass down through the generations until the time that it was fulfilled in the person of Messiah.

Exodus 32:20; Leviticus 23:15– 21. You shall count 50 days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord. The Omer was parched in fire –

Fire represents Judgment – Gen 19:24; Ex 9:23 Jer 52:13, Rev 20:10

Fire represents Refinement and Purification Ps 12:6; Zech 13:9,M 3:3

Fire represents the Trials of our Faith – 1 Pet 1:7, James 1:2,3,12

The Omer was tossed in the wind – Omer tossed to the wind represents Every Kind of Doctrine – Eph 4:8-14;

A time of counting the days for (50) PENTE the COST of being His disciple. Luke 14:25. Prepares us to receive all He will release preparation through fire, repentance and cleansing leads to deliverance and freedom.

I set you free to serve Me.

(Actually meaning to return to the WAY that He had intended for humanity to walk before Him, was now given in Torah/Instructions)

This is in reference to the prophecy in Malachi and will be mentioned later.

This was the observance for the feast of Shavuot. It takes place seven weeks, or 50 days after the Passover/Pesach. The rabbis realized that this was the same time Moses had gone up on Mount Sinai to receive the guidelines for their new lifestyle having come out of the bondage of Egypt.(We know it as the 10 Commandments).

So Shavuot became a day to remember the giving of the Torah directions.

It is one of and the 3 annual appointed times of the Lord when all men were required to go to Jerusalem.

then

and now. (Passover, Pentecost and Yom Kippur)So on the 50th day, the barley harvest ends and the wheat harvest begins, the change in harvest symbolized by the waving of two wheat loaves by the High Priest in the temple before the Lord.The waving of the two leavened loaves, also, representing those who would be harvested;

both Jew and Gentile – which is why the Torah and the ‘Church’/Ecclesia/Congregation/Called out ones, share the same birthday.

On Shavuot, the holiday celebrating the harvest, the holiday of the first fruits.

Israel marks not just the giving of the Torah by God, (also known as ‘Zman Mattan Torah’, ‘the time of the giving of the Torah’.) but their acceptance of the Torah.

The integration between celebrating the giving of the Torah and our gratitude for the land, between a holiday that is solely connected to “heaven” and one connected to the earth, to the land of Israel. On the one hand, we aspire to reach the highest place, to receive the Torah, and on the other hand, we are connecting to what is under our feet, to the land and its crops to understand that building the Israelite homeland is a process that starts with the earth and continues on up to heaven. Nothing in scripture stands alone everything is interconnected and when we see how, it becomes clear and all begins to make sense.

One way the holiday is observed is through the reading of the Book of Ruth, the story of a woman who converts to Judaism and accepts the Torah. It is appropriate to read the Book of Ruth on Shavuot for several reasons:

First, because it gives us a picture of how the poor were treated in the harvest season with sympathy and love.

Secondly, because in the Book of Ruth we are shown the origin of the House of David — King David was the great-grandson of Ruth and Boaz. And it recounts the story of the Gentile woman (Ruth) who becomes the bride of the Hebrew Boaz, the kinsman redeemer.

Their union produced the most famous of all Israel’s kings, King David. Who incidentally, was born on this very same date (Shavuot) and amazingly Shavuot is also the yahrzeit (anniversary of the death) of King David.

In the Book of Ruth, it is written that when Ruth wanted to stay with Naomi she said, “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.Your people will be my people and your God my God.”  Ruth first committed herself to another human being, to Naomi, and afterwards to her people and then to her God.It is well accepted that Ruth, the foreigner represents the largely gentile church redeemed by Messiah Yeshua/Jesus, the Lord of the harvest, as represented by Boaz, who functioned as her kinsman redeemer. It’s interesting that Boaz instructs her to stay through out the barley and the wheat harvest.  For as we have noted in Jewish tradition, the counting of the Omer is said to be a time of preparation for receiving the Torah. The Exodus was looked on as a gift, while the giving of the Torah required some spiritual preparation or readiness. This presents an interesting picture.  Do the fifty days between the First fruits resurrection of Messiah Yeshua/Jesus and the receiving of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost constitute a period of ‘readiness’ for the congregation of believers, Body of Yesuhua, (church), as well? The book of Ruth is replete with symbolism regarding the gentile bride and her kinsmen redeemer.

“So Boaz, said to Ruth, “My daughter listen to me.  Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here …So, Ruth stayed close to the servant girls of Boaz to glean until the barley and the wheat harvest were finished.” Ruth 2:8,23

If Messiah Yeshua/Jesus returns for His bride before the 50th day, she would qualify as a first fruits bride (barley); a bride who has made her self ready.  While those who are not ready would still be here after the 50th day and become part of the wheat harvest – foreshadowed, possibly by Ruth who gleaned throughout the barley and the wheat harvests? A connection to the parable of the 10 virgins and the condition of their spiritual preparedness?

Also indicated in the instructions Messiah Yeshua/Jesus gave His disciples before He ascended into heaven –

“Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift My Father has promised ” Acts 1:4

Is this why He met them on the Emmaus Road? To make sure they were where they were supposed to be?And meeting with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judah and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:4,8Messiah Yeshua/Jesus told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until the promise of receiving the power of the Set-apart Spirit came upon them; because, ONLY when this happened could they begin to spread the message of the Good News!

Why did they have to wait in Jerusalem?First, we are instructed by YHVH that Shavuot is a feast celebrated in Jerusalem – Messiah Yeshua/Jesus was instructing His disciples to keep Torah.Second, judgment – and blessing – are first for the house of Israel and then for the surrounding nations. Likewise, the Good News began in Jerusalem and was sent out from there. This is also one of the reasons that Messiah’s disciples and so many other crowds of people, were still together in Jerusalem. For most the trip back home, only to return it again 50 days later, would have been too arduous, (most walked), so they stayed their through the counting of the Omer.  Briefly noted above,

the love story between Boaz and Ruth

that took place during Shavuot. But there is another love story

that takes place during the

season of Shavuot.

A love story 5,000 years in the making.

The story of a King who is scorned by His beloved bride and vows to redeem her to Himself. The story of a King’s waiting that transcends time…a price He willingly pays in order to reclaim His precious bride.

Over a thousand years after the giving of the law, when the first covenant was given on Mount Sinai,

the renewed covenantobtained through Messiah Yeshua’s /Jesus’ death and resurrection…was energized and quickened by the Spirit of God on the Hebrew feast of Shavuot. It became known as the feast of the 50th day or pentecoste because the rabbis of the Greek world had to give a Greek name to the Hebrew holy day. One of the major elements of the Good News is redemption and restoration, another parallel.

We learned from the story of Ruth and Boaz that the season of Shavuot is a season of redemption and restoration. To further this point, we learn that in Jerusalem 3,000 people were added to the assembly of believers.

Why is this 3,000 number important?

At Mt. Sinai, there were 3,000 missing from the House of Israel who should have received the Torah and didn’t because of the sin of the golden calf. And Moses saw that the people were let loose, for Aaron had let them loose, to their shame among their enemies. And Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said,

“Who is for YHVH? Come to me.” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves to him. And he said to them, “Thus said YHVH Elohim of Israel: ‘Each one put his sword on his side, pass over to and fro from gate to gate in the camp, and each one slay his brother, and each one his friend, and each one his relative.’ ” And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.” Exodus 32:25-

Once the people of Israel were redeemed, they could then offer their first-fruits to YHVH. At Mt. Sinai we see this redemption take place by the marriage covenant that was established.

In comparing the exchange to a marriage or other sacred covenant. Hebrew scholars have shown that it’s Not simply the giving of Torah and giving of the Holy Spirit, but a covenant of marriage between Adonai and His beloved Israel.

The form of marriage covenant agreement is called a Ketubah;the Torah (10 commandments) were part of the ketubah/written agreement, hence the scripture

In Jerusalem thousands of years later, we see this by the ingathering of the lost sheep of Israel; the ingathering of exiled Israel from the nations.

The Spirit of God was given to the believers on the same day that the law of God was given to Israel. The old or first covenant and the re-newed covenant are joined together both being initiated on the same day.

The correlation here is that when the Law was given to Moses, judgment followed, people perished and according to the Scriptures it was about 3000.

However the amazing thing is that on the second sealing of the covenant with His people, when His spirit was given, there was salvation and eternal life for the number of those who came to new life was about 3000. Acts 2:41;

(Israel, His Beloved became His ‘wife’ אִשָּׁה Ishah, pronounced Ee-sha)

Then there’s the more complimentary, dignified word – רַעְיָה Rayayah.

3000 died

and centuries later

3000 came to life

on the exact same Holy Appointed Day of the Lord.

In 2 Corinthians 3:4 -6. Paul wrote, the letter kills but the Spirit gives life. The spirit was given on the same day as the commandments were given.

This was because the Law (\commandments\ directions for living Life before the Lord;) can tell us the will of God.

However only the Spirit can give us the power to live it.

If we live by the Spirit of God we will fulfill the will of God for our lives in the same precise way that the coming of the Spirit on Pentecost fulfilled the Law of the Covenant. The outpouring of the fire of the Holy Spirit was to empower and enable His disciples then and now. Effectively, to fulfill the plan and purpose of His will in the Earth.

The manifestation of the fire was in direct correlation to the pillar of fire that was with them in the wilderness. It was His manifest presence with them along with the pillar of cloud during the day.

Elohay Ha Elohim Our God is a consuming fire.

Conclusion to follow soon = marriage made in heaven…

Mysterious Secret of the Hilazon

The Mysterious Secret of the Hilazon – Dyeing to be Holy.

This is part of the mystery of the Tzitzit (fringe), and not the Tallit (Prayer Shawl) itself. Scriputre shows that our Hebrew Savior, Lord Jesus/Yeshua did wear Tzitziot, (the plural of Tzitzit), on His Prayer Shawl. This was a matter of keeping Torah, the Law, the Instruction of God; and Messiah kept Torah perfectly!Numbers 15:37-41 verse 38, ‘And the Lord/YHVH/Adonai spake unto Moses, saying, “Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them throughout their generations fringes in the corners of their garments, and that they put with the fringe of each corner a thread of blue.”Each of the four corners of the garment, ‘Tallit’ (prayer shawl), had to have Tzitzit (fringe) on it. This was made very clear to the children of Israel. They were to look on fringes and ‘Remember (Zikkaron) the ‘Words’ of Torah.’

For God to place this instruction in scripture, commanding His people to make the fringes with the blue thread, He was in effect saying: ‘You are a kingdom of priests to Me.’ This is echoed in Rev. 1:6: “He has made us kings and priests (lit. ‘a kingdom of priests’) unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever.”

The scriptures also teach that it was a violation ordinarily for one to mix two fibers such as wool and linen.

The fringes were to be made of wool, but this blue thread was to be made of linen.

So only in this instance, did God allow this to be done. It goes without saying that wool comes from sheep and of course the significance that Jesus/Yeshua being not only the Shepherd but also the Lamb of God is not without deep meaning.

A talit gadol (or a talit katan) must be primarily white with black stripes and made from at least 51% natural fibers. ‘Who is this that comes from Edom, with DYED garments from Bozrah? This glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness mighty to save’. (Isaiah 63:1) The word tallit תַטִלּי is pronounced TAH-LISS by those who use the East European Hebrew dialect. The plural, “tallesim,” is pronounced as TAH-LAY-SIM.” The more modern Israeli pronounciation you will hear most often, is “TAH-LEET.” The plural is “tallitot.” Pronounced as TAHLEE-TOHT.” The fringes on the talit are “tzitzit.” Pronounced zeet zeet  “TSI-TSIT.”The term Tallit, or talith is two Hebrew words, “TAL, meaning “tent” and ITH, meaning “little.” The tallit, when wrapped around the shoulders and pulled over the head, forms for the owner a “little tent” or “prayer closet where he may meet privately with God. The Psalmist writes:

I will dwell in your tent for all ages; I will take refuge in the shelter of the corners of your Tallit.” Tassels added to the hem were not worn by commoners, but by the nobility or royalty. The second significance of the tzitzit, then, is that they showed the wearer to be more than a commoner. He was a noble, or a royal personage. Not just the presence of the tzitzit but their colors also carried meaning. The color was white, but among the white cords on each tassel there was to be one blue strand. This color combination was part of the trappings of royalty, as were the colors blue and purple:The third significance of the tzitzit, therefore, was in their colors. They spoke of royalty and kingship. Even today we talk of “royal blue” and “royal purple” from the custom of Roman emperors who wore purple mantles.

The Tzitzit had to have a cord of blue (techlet) in it, according to the command of God. Why Blue and where did the blue color come from?

Tekhelet or techlet is a blue dye mentioned 49 times in the Hebrew Bible/Tenakh.It was used in the clothing of the High Priest, the tapestriesof the Tabernacleand the Tassels.Blue stripes were to be used: as with techelet, the sages explain why tekhelet blue is so significant.

The symbolism of tekhelet is manifold;the rich blue colors recall the oceans and the sea. The sea is like the sky of the infinite Heavens, reminding us of God’s presence in the world and of the bond between the wearer and God;
and the Heavens are like God’s Throne of Glory, (kisei ha’kavod), the foundations of which are said to be sapphire. It is also to remind us of God Himself and where the Divine Presence dwells.

In the old testament The tallith of a prophet or master teacher would have dark purple-blue threads in the corner tassel. People believed that the purple thread contained miracle power. This is why the woman with the issue of blood wanted to touch the hem of Jesus’ tallith or garment. When she was healed, Jesus said, “Who touched Me?…I felt virtue leave Me.” Then He told her, “Your faith has made you whole,” clarifying it was not a purple thread but her faith in Him as Messiah (see Matthew 9:20-22 and Luke 8:43-48).

According to the Talmud, the color was obtained and dye produced from a marine creature. A species of snail called Murex trunculus, known as the Hilazon or Chilazon.

It took some 12,000 of these to fill a thimble with blue dye.

This small animal’s body contains a special gland.

The liquid from this gland was dried and became a powered dye.In Acts 16, Lydia, a resident of Thyatira;being a seller of purple, would have been a wealthy and influencial woman. The clients who purchased garments or fabric from her, were the very rich. (Acts 16:14-16:40)This color was so expensive, that all but royalty were to wear it. When Messiah Jesus/Yeshua haMashiach returns riding in the heavens on His majestic white war horse, He will be clothed in glorious royal, garments of a King.

The zitzit with one thread of blue.

Why Blue and where did the blue color come from?

Some three thousand five hundred years ago, Moses gave instructions for the making of “tekhelet” (blue dye) that was to be used in the veil that covered the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle and in the ribbons along the edges of the tallit – the Jewish prayer shawl.

One of the contributions Adonai requested in the wilderness was blue which is tekhelet תכלת in Hebrew. Tekhelet blue, known as Divine Blue, identifying Israel and her God.Numbers 15:38, established the cord of blue as a necessity for all generations of Israel: “Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue.”

Much of the Wilderness Tabernacle utilized tekhelet blue:

Exodus 26:1 “ten curtains of fine twisted linen and tekhelet blueExodus 26:4 “loops of tekhelet blue on the edge of the outermost curtain … likewise on the edge of the curtain in the second set.”

  • Exodus 26:31 “You shall make a veil of tekhelet blue…”Exodus 26:36 “a screen for the doorway of the tent of tekhelet blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen…”

  • Exodus 27:16 “a screen of twenty cubits, of tekhelet blue…”

This fact alone is very curious, as the Israelites must have had access to a significant amount of this dye and they were in the wilderness! The interesting question is, did they bring it with them from Egypt? Was it part of the wealth of Egypt that they left with? This is probably the case as the coast of Egypt which included Goshen where they were enslaved was part of the Mediterranean Sea; and also as expensive as this color was to own, no doubt the Egyptians had it and it was something to be desired.Location of wilderness tabernacle and where they were in the wilderness at Mount Sinai. Here they received Torah and instructions for building the Mishkan. The distance from Goshen to Mediterranean Sea was about 40 kilometers, approx. 25miles.

Lost and Found — The Tale of a Snail

Tekhelet blue, known as Divine Blue, has come to symbolize the hope of redemption; with its loss and amazing rediscovery after nearly 2,000 years.

Extracting blue and purple dyes from a snail that grew in the Mediterranean became an important industry for centuries. However, with the Islamic invasion of the Holy Land in the seventh century, the industry disappeared. For the past 14 centuries the formula has evaded Jewish scholars.

Thus, until recently, Jewish prayer shawls have had only black ribbons.

When the Romans conquered Israel in 63 BC they seized control of the production of tekhelet blue.  By the third century AD, under the Emperor Constantine, only Romans, and primarily royalty, were allowed to use and wear the tekhelet blue. Jews were prohibited from its use—especially after the Council of Nicaea which established harsh laws restricting Jews (and Christians) from observing biblical commandments from the Old Testament.

Jewish dyers went underground. By around 600 AD, as the Jews were scattered, persecuted, and confined to ghettos, the identity of the creature from which the dye was extracted and the process of producing tekhelet blue was lost all together. From that time until very recently, tallits, the traditional prayer shawl that held the tzitzit, or tassels, as commanded in Numbers 15:38, on its corners, could not contain the cord of blue

The sages believed the loss of the tekhelet blue was attributed to the disobedience of Israel, suggesting that its rediscovery would be a sign of restoration and signal the coming of Messiah in His glory to Israel.

The miraculous rebirth of Israel in 1948, and the reunification of Jerusalem following the Six Day War in 1967 inspired zeal and renewed hope among the Jewish People. They thought redemption may truly be at hand. The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has painstakingly recreated the Holy Vessels and Garments in anticipation of the rebuilding of the Holy Temple according to biblical descriptions. Missing were the tekhelet blue and the ashes of the Red Heifer.

Tekhelet Restored!

Tekhelet, (Strong’s 8504) the color (violet). Strong’s feels this sapphire blue comes from the Cerulean mussel in which the dye was obtained.  This was the color, blue, representing the firmament of the heavens that was used as fabric and curtains to drape the ceiling of the Wilderness Tabernacle.  It was the Zohar, when it refered to tekeleth, that stated, “This color had to appear in the Tabernacle for this reason:”Genesis 1:6 – “And God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.’”

It was this dye, the color sapphire blue that became one of the rarest and most costly of dyes to be obtained in the ancient world.  It was always known to come from the gland of a snail in the Mediterranean, which disappeared soon after the destruction of the temple in 70 CE, and the process of how to extract it was lost. One source reports that in 1984, Irving Ziderman, a biochemist at the Israel Fiber Institute in Jerusalem, was able to identify the source of the ancient dye. After years of research, trial and error, he perfected the process, using the mucus of the “banded dye murex,” a spiny shellfish once thought to be extinct. Not until 1985, one Sabbatical week of years, was this snail rediscovered in the Mediterranean. Out of it came the royal purple and the royal blue.  It was also this blue dye that was used to dye the blue cord on each tzitzit, which was the hem or fringe of the prayer shawls of the Hebrews as commanded by HaShem.

Murex branfaris and Murex trunculus Snails

Numbers 15:37 – “HaShem said to Moses saying, Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Throughout the generations to come you are to make tzit-tzit on the corners of your garments, and with a blue cord on each tzit-tzit, You will have these tzit-tzit to look at and you will remember ALL the commands of the Lord, and you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lust of your own hearts and eyes.  Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.’”

The secret to reviving this ancient formula to fulfill the commandment in Exodus 25:4 and produce tekhelet blue was a riddle waiting until the 1980s to be solved.

The Biblical True Blue from the Murex Trunculus The Murex Trunculus snail had been identified in the early 20th century by the first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel. Ezekiel 27:7 speaks of Tekhelet blue from Tyre and the coastlands of Elishah. Archaeologists uncovered mounds of Murex shells in Tyre and the surrounding area that dated to the biblical period. Blue stains on large pots and vats from 1200 BC were tested, and found to be consistent with the modern day Murex trunculus. However, until the 1980’s all experiments on the Murex extract only yielded purple dye …

until one sunny day.

Otto Elsner, a professor at Shenker College of Engineering and Design near Tel Aviv, took the process outside in the sunlight, and found that the dye specimen turned a beautiful, perfect tekhelet blue.

As soon as the gland is exposed to oxygen, the liquid in that gland undergoes a fascinating chemical transformation from a clear liquid to a yellow, to a green, a greenish blue, aquamarine, then blue and ultimately ends up a dark purple the purple liquid is dried and then ground into a powder.  By exposing this new compound to sunlight, the blue described in the ancient Jewish sources is achieved.Dr. Baruch Sterman describes one of the most dramatic aspects of the tekhelet:

“The molecules of any specific color can be measured in exact wavelengths.  This measurement is read in increments called nanometers.  When the molecules of the blue color called Tekhelet, extracted from the murex trunculus snail are measured, the reading peaks at exactly 613 nanometers. What a marvelous coincidence that this number matches the total number of commandments in the Torah, written by the finger of God in sky-blue sapphire.”Because eventually the tekhelet was lost, until recently, an observant Jew could not fulfill the directive of gazing upon the blue cord or meditate on the “twist of blue” and recall the eternal Torah, hewn from sapphire under the Throne of Glory. However once again he can and very soon the non-Jew, who loves God, Torah and Israel, can look forward to the days when;

Zechariah 8:23 – “Ten men of all languages and nations will take hold of one Jew by the corner Tzit-tzit of his garment and say, ‘Let us go with you because we have heard that God is with you.’”

Once again—for the first time in almost 2,000 years, the Jewish People are able to fulfill this commandment in the Land of Israel. And once more, they wear a cord of blue in their tzitzit as commanded.

The Talmud (Menahot 44a) says that once every 70 years the shores of the land of Israel are visited by the segulit snail from which the tekhelet, used to mark certain religious items, was made.

On November 10, 1990, The Jerusalem Post reported that these snails had begun to surface by the thousands along the Mediterranean coast!!

Some Orthodox Jews believe the reappearance of the snails are a sign of the approaching of the Messianic Age.

Today, in Israel those praying at the Western Wall are wearing prayer shawls with beautiful blue ribbons.

Below is a 2,000-year old textile that contains the mysterious blue dye described in the Bible.Isaiah writes: and come let us reason together that our sins though they be as scarlet, κόκκινον, can become as white as snow.

This color of “sins like scarlet or κόκκινον, red as crimson” of Isaiah 1:18, is Tyrian or Phoenician purple, crimson of murex shellfish from φοινός phoinós “blood red” Mycenaean…

The miracle of this techlet is now being made once again in Israel. They have found the snail, (murex trunculus), that is needed to make the blue dye.

Today as we are literally seeing Bible prophecy fulfilled before our eyes; in so many ways and in such precise detail helps us to realize we are in close proximity to His appearance. Are we truly living by the fringe of a wing and a prayer?

Let’s continue praying with intent, ‘within tent’!

Remembering, taleh means lamb, and also comes from the word that means covering!

God provided Himself a lamb.

The Taleh Elohim the Lamb of God.

The Lamb is our covering –  The Taleh is our Taletha !

This small snail has returned to the waters of Israel, and is seen as a “Sign that Messiah is coming soon.”

Even so.. come Lord Jesus!Make sure we are ready when He does..
